Mini's Big Day

It's not every day she wakes up at 5:20, during school she sleeps til 6:40 and other days it just depends, so finding her in a really good mood this morning was a happy surprise. Today was the big day for Mini. Today she got her tonsils removed, and though I had my worries (I cried a little last night) I made sure that she knew this was a good thing.
See we decided to make this seem like fun. We told Mini that she would be able to eat lots of ice cream and popcicles and be waited on. (surprise, she really liked that idea) She was excited about this. When we got to the hospital she was still looking forward to it. This was an adventure that she was going to get to have. When the nurse took us back Mini got a little nervous. See her Gigi and Poppa were not able to go back with us at first and she was a little scared. But after Roo and I explained that it was so she could change and get ready she understood. The doctor was awesome he came in and spoke with us once again and explained the surgery. He then gave mini a little frog. Since she already had her Boing-boing (her little frog) she asked me to hold onto the new frog.
She was so good when they took her back and though I worried I know she did good back there. The doctors said she went to sleep quickly.
After a bit of recovery (some yuck stuff) we were able to bring her home. She's feeling better even though her throat is hurting (meds are awaring off) Roo's getting some meds and food and mini is hanging in her room watching some tv. She's a little bummed that she can't play. I'll keep you posted my sweet followers.

Ugh

So my day has not went as planned. Of course Roo got paid but that never lasts long. Basically it's bill time and I, like other people, hate bill time. More importantly my cell phone's still busted but my house phone is starting to work so that means I can work. Woohoo.
Mini is doing pretty good the hospital called to confirm her appointment and to see how many people will be there during surgery. I'm glad she handling it well but I'm a little scared. Nothing new there. Oh besides the fact that my phone screen is busted there is also the issue of my camera. Yes, my faithful followers I will have to replace it. Apperantly the screen on that decided to break as well. I'm not a happy camper with my electronics.
So I am in search of a new camera and new phone...Wish me luck. Well I keep everyon posted on my search and how Mini does tomorrow. Let the fun begin.

A quick one from me.

As I sit here listening to music I am reminded that I haven't been writing to much. I'm not sure if everyone is aware but I am in fact a writer. (I think I'm good) anyway with 2010 coming to a close I am making plans for the 2011 with the idea that it is going to be an awesome year. I will be writing more and I even think I will be publishing a collection of short stories written under my name and not the name of Nicole Lee. I think I will keep the paranormal with her and I'll do the other stuff.
I am still working on a cookbook idea and would love to have some family and friends submit recipes for the use of that.
I want my little family to happy and to continue to pass the days in some what the comfortble way and mostly I have other dreams that I hope to come true. Tomorrow I may even share a few of them with you. As this years comes to close I will kick off with some of my top ten moments.
Love to you all
Tiffany
Hello trusted followers, it's me again. And in another day of my life I am truly ready to scream. You see I was suspose to work this morning at 7 and when I got up I was having my sick flashbacks again and running fever. So I tried to give my time away and went back to sleep. a little after 8am I woke up feeling a little better and after checking I see that I am still on for work. So I log on late and try to boot up. That being said my home phone is acting wonky and while I am trying to take orders I can hear some one on the line trying to call. So I call AT&T and they first inform me that I may be charged for the fix then they tell me that it is a problem on their end. (duh) After all is said and done they inform me that I won't be able to have it fixed until Friday. Grr. I have to put all my hours up so that I don't run the risk of someone overhearing a customers information.
Ok. Wed. Take Two.
After I get myself ok with the loss of work for the next day I am on my way to visit my parent's house and visit their puppies. Mini is trying to get out of the car when I heard a bump and crack. My cell phone is now cracked on the screen. This is just great. I'm so not liking this day. Maybe I can go back to sleep and try again.

Holiday Update

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the world. First off I hope everyone had a happy holiday or a Merry Christmas. (which ever you perfer.) Besides a yucky cold, I've had a pretty good holiday. My sweet little mini had her first christmas party at school. (that was a lot of) Then that afternoon I had to take her to the dr.
It was decided that since she tends to get strep quite abit it is time for the tonsils to come out. So we will be ringing the New Year fresh from surgery. Even though I am nervous I've been putting up a good front. She is excited about this and that is what I want her to be.
Now mini's christmas was a blast. She got so much stuff, I don't know why I ever worry about her. But I do. She asked santa for a unicorn pillow pet and got three. Even though her main wish still goes unanswered she still had a good time. She want's to meet Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. He is her hero.
Well my sweet followers I hope the new year brings you happiness and lots of good stuff.

The Christmas blues Part1

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I hope you all were able to be thankful for something. Mine? It was pretty good we went down to see my family and had a good visit with yummy food. Afterwards the hubby went home while me and mini went camping for the weekend. It was mini's first camping trip and she had a blast. She got make S'mores for the first time, of course her favorite part was the burning of the marshmellows. Now it's time to start decorating the house and trees because Christmas is on it's way.
I want to say that I am excited about it but to tell the truth I'm really not this year. I'm happy that we are spending it in our new place but I am worried that I won't be able to get my little girl all the things she wants. I know that this is a parent worry but it's frustrating to know that money is always an issue. Just once I would like to have a year that I didn't have to worry about this. Not even a year really just a season.
The season is just starting and my mind is racing like it does every year. I'm basically trying to play catch up on everthing while making sure that she has everything she wants. Well at least some of the stuff she wants and it gets harder for me because I am suspose to be this happy person who will just wait until it gets better. But inside I am screaming because I don't know how we continue to do this to our selves. Well it's time to work. Gotta make money

The Holidays

Hello faithful followers. It's me again and here is a quick run down of what's been going on. Mini won 2nd place in her cheer and now it's over. (I'm glad and sad all at the same time) I got to work a book fair at her school. And now here I sit in my own little home working...Yep that's right I am fully set up to work. Now if I can just get some more money all will be well in my tiny little world.
So as most of you know it's that time again. Time for caroling, singing, being thankful, cussing at the credit card bill and basically showing good will toward men. Yep it's the holidays. Most people spend them having turkey with their family and being in a jolly mood. Me? Well I'm not most people. Sure, I enjoy family and of course I enjoy the food but what I don't enjoy is the guilt trips and drama that comes with it all. (that and the price tags) Mini has been doing her wish list and hubbies family has already started in on the making people feel bad. By the way I'm not into that. But I figure I will let them blame me so that they don't blame hubby (even though it was his idea) I'll be the bad guy. Oh wait you don't know what I'm talking about well it all started over Thanksgiving.....
The in-law asked if we could change our plans and go to their house. When hubby said no because we (me and mini) had plans to go camping with the rents the in-law got upset. (Note: Hubby can't go cause he has to work on black friday. ps I am sending him with MY wish list...hehe) the in-law stated that we should be there because of o.g.'s stroke. (side note: she is doing so much better and making real progress. Thanks for the prayers) Hubby informed her that we again already have plans and reservations. So he hangs up and is a tad upset. (don't blame him) I call and in-law gives me the same thing. Here is where I point out that about Christmas back when I needed to be with my family and yet I still managed to be there. We also pointed out that hubby could go to which we were informed that he wasn't good enough. (they want mini. insert eye roll) I am keeping my calm about all this because I do understand how it is. I know it's frustrating and I get that you want everyone together but then in-law says that since I came along hubby doesn't spend holidays and they never see him. First off I have to say that upset me. It sounds as if I've taken something away and second I am the reason hubby does stuff with family. Again I understand I am the bad guy but we did thanksgiving with them for 4 years without me spending it with my family. Of course some drama insued and we decided to spend it with my family but I haven't taken anything from anyone. So my feelings are hurt and in-law isn't speaking to me. That's fine, and hubby is...well I'm not guessing on his emotion but I can tell you it hasn't been pretty.
So since the in-laws won't see it I'm going to tell you that hubby is an amazing man. He has held down a good job (with benifits) for 10 years. He has taken care of and supported me and mini no matter what. He is my best friend who get's how I am and I am proud of him and everything that he is. It makes me mad that they still treat him like he is a child and that they wont take him serious. And I wish just once they would fully acknowledge that he has a family and has his own idea of how he wants us to be.
So to boil Thanksgiving down I am thankful for him. And I am sorry that he makes choices that hurt the family but please feel free to blame it on me so that you don't have to admit he has his own way of doing things.
See readers this holiday season is already starting out fun....All I need now is some really strong liquor and happy pills. (Insert shutter and fake smile here) Well as always I will keep you posted. I mean something is bound to come up right?

A Day in the Life of Tiffany: Weekend Review 10/30-11/02

Weekend Review 10/30-11/02

I have to say that I am so loving this now. Me, the hubby and mini have moved. (not to far away) But we have been without internet. Not to big a deal really my parents are awesomeness and we have been bumming off theirs. But today we got ours turned on. Right now as I sit in my kitchen I am feeling pretty good about life. So after the last few months and small rants (well rants none the less) I have to sit here and need to say my life for the most part is pretty sweet.
We work our butts off and at times there is no end in site but for the most part we are doing better then some. Mini has been sick for the past few days and I had to take her to the dr. on Monday. She has a sinus infections. Not to big a deal but no cheer practice so I kept her home today just to be sure. Then, what do you know, they called off practice because it has decided to pour down rain. She is going back to school tomorrow. (blessing) and I gonna go down and see my memaw.
I have to say once again I do have pretty awesome family. Now for some prayers a week ago hubbies grandmother had a small stroke. Thankfully she is recovering but I would like all my readers to keep her in prayer. Sometimes we need the extra prayers for our loved ones. Halloween was a blast we did let mini dress up and go trick or treating with our Besties. (even sick) I knew I was taking her to the doctor so what was one more thing. If you are on my facebook then you can see the pics. She had a blast, as did hubby and me, and we plan to do this every year. Ok, so I think that is pretty much everything that has happened since this past weekend. I am sure that I am missing something but I will fill that in when I come to it.
Blessed be peeps, Blessed be

The Secret of Bullies

Mini's school was talking about bullies last month and earlier this month and I began to thank about the past and the word bully. First off I want to say that I believe that everyone has been bullied in their life time. In fact, if you really thought about it you may realize that you were at one time a bully. It doesn't take much.
Yes there are those rare people who have never said or thought a bad thing about anyone but for the majority of us we could be accused of bullying at one time or another. Sure we tell ourselves that it's a gossip thing but in reality we are still being bullies because we are responcible for someone's feeling. It's not right and does need to be stopped but on the other hand it's hard to stop something that has been left alone for so long. I bring up the gossip part of bullying because of the recent cyber bullies. First off they are cowards who have to hide behind a keyboard in order to make someone feel bad. Again on the flip side many people are easier to get at due to the internet. Teenagers have used myspace and now have begun to use facebook as way to torment someone they do not like.
The parents either don't know or do not care that their child is spending so much time online "socializing" and do not realize the real impact of this on their child. Don't get me wrong, I love the internet and the computer I see it as an outlet however I would never attack someone verbaly by this outlet. In fact even here in my blog I refuse to use real names. Mainly because the person or persons who agitate me deserve a piece of privacy.
On to bullies at school. I'll never understand the need to make some one feel low about themselves. I know that children tease and make fun of others and I am guilty of it as well but I as I think more on it by allowing children to just get away with this practice we are saying that it is ok to hurt someone's feeling. There is an ultimate secret about bullies that no one ever admits but I think I should....
Bullies have all been bullied by someone else. They prey on those that are not like them in anyway. Bullies have been around since the begining of time and though we may wish it, we can not just make them disapear. The way to stop being bullied is to talk to someone, anyone about what is going on. It's to love yourself even if you don't know who you are yet, make sure that no one else can make you question your believes or practices. Don't allow them to see you sweat. And if they result to name calling "Crybaby" stand up for that but you can't solve it by violence or harming yourself.
By doing either one you are letting them win. Though you may open some eyes to the bullying, you would open more if you were here to speak out about it. People will remember you but in the end you have done nothing but let them win. Stand up, speak up and continue to voice yourself until you feel that you are heard. Only you have the power to hurt you. And by letting bullies get to you, you are showing them that your power over yourself is weak. Bullies pray on the weak.
As I have watched Mini with one of her friends I have discovered that her friend is a bully. She tells Mini what to do, what to think and has told her that her mommy is not the boss of anyone. Folks Mini is in kindergarden. Our children learn this at an early age. So let's stop it at an early age. Let's teach our children that it is not right to make someone cry or feel bad. Let's show them that kindness is a good thing to have. It's up to us as adults to show them as children that bullying will not be tolerated.
Ok well that is my rant for the day. Hope you liked it.

I'm Sick

So I guess if you can read the title then you may already know the subject of today's post. Yep the weather is turning, Halloween's coming and you guessed it...I'm sick. This has been the longest weekend ever. And it all started at Mini's practice on Thursday. 1st off let's get a little background.
I am a type 1 diabetic, with hardly any imune system. I tend to take care of other before me but I always end up getting sick just the same. I have not taken my flu shot yet this year because I haven't really had the time and because I really hate shots. (Tattoo's are not shots and they are way different.) I mean I got out of the flu shot last year only because I had during the summer. So this year is just a time thing.
Now Thursday at Mini's practices this horrid little boys (I want to call them something else) were near us moms (no they didn't belong to any of us) and began to kick up dust and dirt. We practice at a baseball field so loose dirt is aplenty. Now after all the moms got on to the little...(fill in your own name) They were made to finally appoligize. Well so now I have dust in my system.
Friday was Mini's first field trip and we went to the zoo. Since I am mostly a stay at home mom, my job is to be room mom and helper for anyother thing she has. So Friday was already going to be long day as I woke up and felt the need of not being able to breathe. Then we get to school and I learn that I am given a second child to our small group. Total now of 3 kids and me. Not a problem, until I find out the other little girl who is with us doesn't like the new little girl with us and mini is desperate need of the other girls attention. (Yeah I'm confused too and I'm the one who just explained that.) I made it clear that we all are going to play well together then had to make it clear to Mini that she needs to befriend everyone. Thankfully both girls liked mine. So after having to express the need for harmony, and the mixture of dust and other smells I went home with a stopped up head. Cue nap there, both me and Mini took one. Later Friday night we went to the football game Mini got to cheer with the big girls and I have to say it was pretty cool.
Side note: I'm really not that big into sports and football has never held any woohoo for me.
Saturday I woke up again unable to really breathe. Ugh, really long day. But I got up and got dressed and cheered for my little mini as she cheered on the boys. We won of course and I find out that we will be going on to our playoffs. (Yes peewee has playoffs) But hubby takes me home so that I can go to bed and there I stay.
Now today, If I didn't have some school work and I didn't have to work I would still be in bed today. But as it is. We need the money and so here I am unable to keep from sniffling working in my small little corner. I need something real todo. But I still can't breath very well and I think I've taken enough meds to supply a small pharmcy and the only saving grace is that my little family has let me rest. Until I had to work. Grr. I will feel better cause I refuse to go to the dr. Well Later days peeps.

Stupid People

Today has to be my rant on Stupid people and I'm sorry if you feel that you are being attacked but then you shouldn't be stupid. Let's start first with Mini's cheer shall we?
Mini missed cheer this past weekend (not sure if you're keeping up) due to the fact that it was raining and she had just started getting over being sick. (this will play a part init) So Monday I recieve an email from her coach that due to the fact that she was not at the game in the NASTY (coachs words) weather and the other girls and coaches (eye roll) were that mini and another girl would have to sit out the first quarter. Well I am the typical mom and I emailed the coach and told her that I did call and explain why she would not be coming and that they are 5 and just what is an excused absense. She then told me that her back was against the wall and she had no choice in the matter. (Ok side rant, You always have a choice and the way this was handled was extremely wrong)
So I was told to talk to commisioner of the league and commish explained it a little better, Because the fact that a mom had point blank asked and because the coach brought Mystery Mom with her when she asked the Commish and because there were others around the Commish had to be the one to make the call. (I get it. I really do.) I told her I completly undertand and I would be ok for mini's punishment to stand. I also mentioned that why we were talking about demerits and punishments that if this one was going to be looked at then the rest should also be done. (I know but I had a point at the time) I also informed Commish that the other little girl who was out would be cheering because she had a valid reason. I wasn't sure how the other mom felt but I was not going to allow that. (Again, I know not my child) Again Mystery Mom has been playing havoc with the whole squad and I'm a little tired of her. Ok on to the next Stupid person.
We ordered checks because we needed some and they screwed up. First they couldn't read the account so hubby took care of that, then they canceled the order with out telling us, I only found out because I was looking for them. Then, they double charged us and again no one said anything. So I called and spoke with this lady who had no emotion at all, and then she put me on hold and the music sucks. (you ever been on hold with crappy music?) She then told me that I would have to send documents on the fact that they screwed up. GRRR. that's all I'm saying.
You know I could really go on and on about all this but I am hungry and my phone is ringing. Dear god give me strength.
Later Days

A rambling saturday

Today started off like most Saturdays, we were going to get up to take Mini to her game. Problem was it was raining pretty hard and I decide that mini was not cheering in the rain. Does that make me a bad cheer mom? I don't think so. I think it makes me aware that my little one is only 5 and therefore should not be made to stand in the rain when her imune system is still new and fresh. I find these rules we have for our children a little silly. These are young girls who we are subjecting to stand out in the rain or even in the cold and cheer.
If they had to try out for the team I think I could understand it a little better but since I paid for her to be on the team then I think that as parents we should be allowed to have a little more say. Not only that the league doesn't pay the dr's bill if she get's sick so why, as parents, do we allow them to bully us into letting our children play in the pouring rain when normally we would not?
They compare it to when the girls get into high school. Well to bad, they are not in high school yet and they are sure not ready to be judged by the high school cheerleader standards. So I kept her home.
If you're keeping track with me you may be aware that I am in search of another job. I love everything I do but there is so much that I want to do that I have to have money in order for this to happen. I am still working the third book in the Amity House series and am working a few other things as well but I have to have some where to do all of this and I fear that I am runniong short of places. So here I am working for an at home company and looking for another company to give me more money.
I am also here ticking off different people because I will not allow someone to mistreat my daughter. I am still struggling with the everyday stuff but so far today I think I'm doing ok. It's and everyday process and I am taking day by day. Well that is my Saturday happy weekend.

Feeling Lost

It's funny how emotionally drained a person can be. I mean I feel like I should have recovered by now and I am trying to get past but I am just not making. I find myself checking not because I don't trust but because I am afraid. I'm not this person. I shouldn't have to be this person and yet all I keep doing is wondering what's going on. I'm lost. Completly lost, I've never been here before and I find that I am having a hard time coming back from it. I don't know what to do, and if I say anything it's "Aren't we passed this?" But here I am, still stuck, unsure of what is going on. For the reassurance that was there yesterday is slowly slipping away today and I can't help but go back to that place. Can I stress, I am not this person. I am not that so blinded with jealusy that I can't make it over the hump, but I am so lost and alone that I can't seem to get out of the slow downward spiral I seem to be putting myself in. Am I tortoring myself because I feel that I need it? Or am I seeing something that is not there, but truly is? I feel disconnected and no matter how hard I try it doesn't seem to be getting back. Have I lost? Was there even a way to win? I can't talk about it because it's eggs shell that I am walking on. What else do I do? What else can I do? I'm isolated and even though it wouldn't seem like it I am truly alone in this silent battle. So alone that all I can do is go over it in my head a thousand times and not be sure what else to do. God what do I do.

Friday, Oh thank God.

Have you ever had one of those weeks that just seems to go and go? Yeah, well that has been the last few weeks for me. Even the weekends seem to fill with activity. But today is Friday and I have to say, "You're so pretty." This week has been hell.
From the the fact of forgetting mini's hoodie to the fact that my days have just run together. So here is my weekend thing. Mini has a game on Saturday and a Birthday Party. (Yep thats what I said) then I have work on Sunday, at some point I have to squeeze in laundry and Chuck E Cheese. (Yes I bribed mini to be good)
It's been forever since hubby and I had some time and I am missing it. I'm just blah, right now. And then comes Monday where it all starts all over again. Mini has practice and I have a meeting for my Avon and will miss it. But we all do what we have to...
So what are your plans peeps?

Mini Me's heartbreak

Ok, let me start this off by saying that I didn't mean to. My little Mini Me is my pride and joy and I really didn't mean too. Mini is a cheerleader for the flag football team. We have been ordering things left and right. I got her a cute cheer bag for her stuff and other various things. I even have a decal for my car. Anyway last night as they were passing out the Cheer Hoodies the unthinkable happened. Mini didn't get one. It's not that I didn't want her to have one it's just that...well, hell It's just that I forgot about her. I've never done that with anything, She goes everywhere with me she gets things with me and I forgot her hoodie. I'm not sure why this was a big deal. Normally she's ok with things like that. She may pout for a bit but she gets over it.
Oh, no. Not last night. Last night it seemed like I had just told her our puppy died. Her heart was totally broken. She cried so hard at the fact that I didn't get her one. She wouldn't even come near me during the water break. She asked her daddy if he could get the water from her bag that was sitting by me. When I did finally get her in my lap for a quick hug she began crying all over again causing the coaches to ask "Is she ok? Did she fall?"
"No" I said with a shake of my head. "She didn't get a hoodie." Thankfully the coach pointed out that she too forgot her daughter. But did her daughter cry like that? Nope and normally Mini wouldn't have either. Practice was called early due to the upcoming storm. "We're going to Walmart." (I should mention that I am normally not the mom who buys her kid a toy because of the kid not getting their way. but last night...) "Baby, how about I get you a Barbie." she sniffed and said ok. adding that she still wanted the hoodie.
1 $10 Barbie and Barbie Movie later, I am curled up in bed with my little Mini me watching the Barbie Movie. (My guilt is heavy) and we talk about forgiveness. She wasn't upset with me anymore and we were friends again. But here I am today trying to see if I can get a spare hoodie. I've never seen her cry like that before....So here's hoping my little Mini has a better day

Sunday

Today was a something different. Today started out early, my family and I went to church to witness my grandparents join the local Methodist Church. It was really nice there, everyone was very warm and friendly.
After that we enjoyed breakfast at our favorite place, Dennys, Then it was off to the store to get a birthday present for mini's friend. Today was the first birthday party of the school year. We drove out and I introduced myself and mini and the young mans grandmother replies "Oh, we've heard all about her." Surpisingly I have heard this quite often over the years. I hope it is a good thing. So we are getting ready for this next week. I hope that everyone has a good one. I'll catch up tomorrow.

Saturday

Good Morning people, for just a moment I would like to say thank you to our troops and our service men. With out all of you we would not enjoy the freedoms that we have. Now for another moment I ask that everyone take a moment to remember those lost in the World Trade Centers................................

Ok, thank your for your moment...Now on to the show. Today is Saturday Sept. 11. We went and picked up the mini me's cheer pics and they turned out better then I thought they would seeing as how that day it was a lot hot and a little chaotic. But of course the mini was just as cute as she can be. If your a facebook friend then you've already seen it. Yesterday the mini got sent home from school. The nurse called to tell me she was not feeling well and that she did not want to come home but she was running a bit of a fever. "Not a problem, I'll be there in a minute" I said. The nurse then went it on to praise my sweet little one saying how good she did about remembering my phone number. "I have fourth graders that come in here and they don't know their parents number"..(just in case you were wondering "mini" is in kindergarden. so I guess that was impressive.) So today she is sick. Which sucks because there was a lot she wanted todo. Anyway that is the start of our saturday.

Day at the Dr.

I'm not sure if I ever mentioned this but I am a diabetic. It's ok for the most part. I've learned to deal with it. The part that I really hate though is the blood work visits (which is odd since I love tattoos and vampires) So today I had to go to the doctor and get a lab work sheet to go to the lab to get blood drawn.
I went in and there was a temp there, (already you can see my excitement) Now I am sure the woman is really smart and nice but when she explained to me that she didn't know where they kept the "V's" I was ready to...well it doesn't matter. Right after I told her it was cool and I'd wait for the Dr. to rewrite the lab, another girl came in with the same request. She gave her name (I couldn't tell what it started with) But the temp she just walked over to the wall of files and quickly found her information...Really? My last name is not that hard to spell and yet you can't seem to find it?
Ok so lets skip to where I got the blood work and had to go back to the Dr. to get a continous montor put on. I walk through the door and temp says "I'm sorry but I still can't find your file." (Insert a slight rolling of the eyes) "Thats fine since I don't have to see the Dr. I'm only meeting a Rep." Ok so what I might have said was I don't care. but the above sounds better. Anyway, I'm playing on my phone (my brother got me into Wordfued, which is Word with friends for the Android) when temp says in a nervouse voice "I don't think your suppose to be on your phone." hmm, I'm really starting to doubt this woman at this point. But I had it on silent and I pretended that I couldn't hear her.
Please note that sometimes people tend to annoy me. I can't help it, it just happens, and as annoying as people are it is very possible that you will find yourself blogged about. Since I don't use names you can't prove it and if you can...well get over it.

A Tuesday Grr

From the moment I woke up this morning I knew something was off. To start off with we woke up a little behind, The mini me was in a grumpy mood and fought about what she wanted to wear. Then as we argued out the door we each had to make two seperate trips back into the house for various things we forgot.
So I got the mini off to school then came home to find that are sweet loving dog, Abby, ate mini's favorite pair of headphones. Then I had to find a card that was lost and try to put the house back together before going up to the main house and do some chores. I was supose to work today and thanks to the rain and crappy net connection I had to quickly call in. (So don't like doing that) Now I'm more stressed and had to go to the store to get some food. We were out of everything and after spending almost $200 I came home to find that I may not have bought all that we need. This day is so sucking and it's not done yet.

Change is coming

Have you ever had the sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach and you just know that something isn't right? Well that's the way I feel right now. I am currently on hiates from the store and am now working for another company out of my home. I feel that the store has caused stress and damage to my personal stuff. For instance, until the last 6 months I had a full healthy head of hair and now after 2 months of being off I'm getting it to grow back. They want me to go back this next weekend and though I've said I might I've come to the conculusion that the universe may not want me to. My little one has strep throat for the second time in less then 3 weeks. Making me want to stay home with her until it gets better. I am of course enjoying my new job and of course have not heard from the old workers from the store.
I feel that this means they want me back less then I want to go. Which is cool. I think it may be a good thing to cut ties. When I don't cringe over the idea of having to go back to the same old stuff I feel a sigh of relief that I am able to work from home and still be with my family. It does make a difference.
I also feel that if I were to break down and go back it would not benefit me health wise. I can't take the stress that the store began to cause. Well I can't and neither can my marriage. I feel that it is time to make a change and me and the hubby have been getting back to good for a while now and I want to keep it that way. I just think sometimes things need to be voiced. Opinions need to be shared and those that fight with the fact that change is coming will likely lose the battle they are not prepared to fight.
Also I fear that because of all the crazy my writing has suffered. Though I am getting back to that. Of course the third book in the series that I am writing has been done for a while I now have to go back and rewrite some of it because I am not happy with the way it turned out. Funny I never thought that my writing would actually amount to much. Ok well enough about all this.
I will of course leave this day in the life with this: Sometimes it takes change to show us which path we need to take. Then again it also takes changes to remind us that we are in fact alive and able to make descions about our own lives. Do not lose yourself when in search of a better tomorrow.

So here is a question, do you think Jeasus hunted easter eggs? And if so, do you think they were colored? I know it sounds strange but as we get closer to Easter I can't help but wonder about that. Ok so let's talk goings on.
I took off for a month from the "store" because of stress. As it stands right now I'm not sure that I want to go back, but I will cross that bridge when I get there. My sweet little girl will be 5 next Thursday. I can't believe that time has gone by so fast. Looking at her finally taking a nap, I am reminded about how sweet she truly is. We of course broke down and got "her" a puppy. Abbygail Sparkles, is her name and she is a Meagle. She is a doll. Except for the 2,4,and 6am food and play times. She has her days and nights messed up. Weird. So Abby was the baby's big birthday present and what's funny is I think she is more my dog then the mini's.
Ok so back to the work thing. I've been a little stressed. At times I wonder how the owner is doing it. He is going through a crazy divorce and the "store" is falling down around us. He got the business and she got the store, doesn't make any difference that's not really the stress of it for me. I think it's just so much going on right now that I just can't deal.
People who are put on the schedule decide at the last minute they can't work and instead of calling the manager they call me. Cause my plans aren't important. Meanwhile, there is no water there, I'm trying to build the apartment for us at home (and it's always raining) the money is running out and then they ask why do I have to take off. Urgh....

Weeks in Review

Hello great fans of me. The last few weeks have been hell in my tiny little world. First, we had lots of fun playing in the unexpected snow fall. But then once the snow melted and my home became swamp lands (once again) I hurt myself. I was asked to let our horses out, so like the good kid that I am, I went out to let the horses out. The problem was our pasture is so full of mud that the melting snow and ice only made it worse and I got stuck. So there I am, stuck in the black mud (yes that makes a difference) crying in pain because it is litterly pushing down on my boot which is pushing down on my feet. I can't move. Finally after 20 min the hubby comes out and asked "What's taking so long?" Really. Then once I hysterically cry that I am stuck he chuckles (yes people the love of my life chuckles) then asked "Did you let the horses out?" (Again I ask Really?) So my response to him was "I don't care if they ever get out. I want to go home" (By the way not only did I twist and hurt my back trying to free myself but I also fell at some point and am covered in...well I'm just not real happy.) Ok, so I go to work until finally I can't stand it anymore and I go to the Dr and find out that I have pulled an already agravated muscle. Grrr. The mini me got to go to her grandmothes that weekend so I got to enjoy pain killers in a relaxed and stress free way. The hubby got to come to work with me and be my sitter. (Yes, I was fun)
Now the mini is almost 5 (wow) and we have decided that she needs an outlet for all her energy. (Enter little league flyer) They brought a bunch of flyers up to work that were sign-ups for little league football and cheerleading. We picked cheerleading since I want her to have a non-contact out-let for right now. (She may be small but she gets into the rough housing) So now she is excited about cheerleading and we go to sign her up and we get talked into her very first fund raiser. So I put the information on the counter at work the following Monday and at the corner of the paper it reads "for cheerleading uniform". This man looks at the piece of paper then at me and asks "Do they make on in your size." (Really) Instead of answering I ask if he would like to purchase a candle to help my daughter get her uniform he replies "I'm a man, I don't do candles." so I reply
"I'm a woman, I'll take donations." needless to say mini got a $5 donation from the idiot man who doesn't do candles.
Now I'm a little stressed right now. My job is going iffy only because we don't feel real secure. Owner has issues and is selling out our sister store. Our building is going to one of those issues and is falling apart. Been working with out water for over a month. (Not fun people, not fun) And the issue can and may sell at anytime. Again it should be no surprise that I am looking for another job. But in the meantime I have to deal with it and continue to pray that things will work out. Not only am I job stressed but I have school issues too. I'm going to college to get my degree in business and right now I am taking a class on Critical Thinking. (please note that as I write this I am rolling my eyes) I understand the importance of critical thinking but I'm not sure of why you have to be taught how to think critically. Now as I say that I am then reminded of some of my classmates and some of my past co-workers. So ok I guess I can get that, but I am not enjoying the class and am struggling just to attempt to interact with people. Right now I am just bummed all the way around.
Then after all of this (and believe me, this isn't even half of it.) I have extreme writers block. I am working on the third book to my Nicole Lee series Amity House and I'm on chapter 13, I've got people waiting on this book and I can't seem to get out of my head enough to write. (or maybe it's in my head enough. hmm something to ponder) I'm so worried about other things (job, school, mini) that I'm missing stuff. Hopefully it will all work out. I'll keep you posted.

Today is my older brothers b-day, it's strange to think that he is 31 today. Which makes me feel older cause I'll be...well that's not important. What is, is the fact that I am grateful that I still have my brother and that we are getting close again. I've missed him.
Sometimes it takes someone going away to appericate that they are in your life. I feel this way about my bro. He was never really gone but at times it felt that way. So like everyone else, he is starting a new chapter of his life. I of course wish him the best birthday ever and just continue to remember that I am younger them him so I will always be little. Haha.
Next up on the report list of today, my grandfather. I would like to thank you to everyone who has offered prayers, it was a long battle and thankfully this was one that he was able to win. He is home resting and waiting to take charge of everything once again. Also on the grandparent front, tomorrow will be one year since my husbands grandfather passed away. It has been a hard year on the hubby and his family, I still don't think he has come to terms with the loss of his grandfather. it happened so quickly no one was really able to deal with it in the maner they probably wanted to.
I hate that he has to continue to go through this and I hope that with time it will get better for him.But only time will allow the wound to heel. Later days

Rainy Days

It's raining, again.
I'm so sick of the rain, I mean it seems like that is all it does now a days. The little one says it's gods way of washing a way the bad. Man there must really be a lot of bad. I'm just so sick of the rain. It almost seems like I live in a swamp. Well that's how the yard looks. The little one is doing better, she has stopped fighting as much to brush her teeth. I just wish the rain would go away so that she could play outside. She loves to play out side. It's hard to believe that she will be five soon. I cant wait.
Though it is raining good news for the day. My grandfather is coming home. He has been in the hospital for the past few weeks, he has been fighting CHF for a while along with being a diabetic. I can tell you it is hard. Sometimes, just like the rain, being a diabetic is hard to take. You just wish it would stop every so often. It's hard to handle sometimes.

Life Sucks

Sometimes things don't go the way they need to. It's a simple idea that many over planners negelect to acknowlege. I personally am not an overplanner, I would rather plan something and then see how close I can get to the actual outcome. It's hard when you realize that everything you had planned out and decided, is so not what happened. So what do you do when this happens? Do you concern yourself with those around you? Do you just take off until you are able to come up with a better plan?
Two words people Life sucks. People let's face it nothing ever goes the way you plan it. Nothing ever comes out right, but it does come out the way it is intended. I'm a big believer of "everything happens for a reason". Life is rarely what we thought or what we want but it is life and we must make the best of it.
Hmm something to think about

Random

It's madness I tell you pure madness. Everyone should know that I am a writer, but right now I have a bit of writers block. Ugh... The little one is feeling better today, you can tell because she is startting to be like her old self.
I write under the name Nicole Lee, I love writing and I've been told that my books are awesome. (which makes me feel really good) but right now I've got serious writers block when it comes to my third book in the series that I am curently working on. It's hard to keep up the brain mojo when you feel like your head is going to explode. I want to write all the time but I start writing about other stuff. So what do I do? I put the mini down and read a book.
Whats even better is that I'v had a lady come into my place of business and she seriously asked if I go home and curl up with a good movie. (I work in a video store) I just laughed and said "nope I like to come home and read a good book.
See this is what I mean, I am totally bouncing around in my heaad.

A Big Day for the Kid

Ok let me first start off by saying that this small little family in no way, shape or form, does morinings. Sure the hubby gets up early to go to work but that doesn't mean that we are morning people. So when I say that getting up at 6:40 in the am is early, I really mean it. I didn't sleep to much last night because I was worried over how today would go. See the little one had to have a tooth removed and some fillings and caps put in place. Surprisingly she did pretty good, despite the fact that she fought the Dr. at first. They had just called us back to reschedule because she was not taking to the meds so well when the lady went and checked on her and came back to tell us they were going to proceed because she had finally fallen asleep. Yep thats my kid, folks. I guess I should have told them that she fights sleep tooth and nail even when she doesn't have medicine in her system.
But now she has her very first tooth for the tooth fairy. (enter excitment.) So her day consisted of falling asleep while walking, and being carried. Then she woke up to eat a bite or two and went back to sleep. My sweet little girl is so not a quite child, so again today has just been a strange day that been both comfortable and yet annoying. I'm used to the noise and so forth. I guess I could have went to work, but the little one won't let me out of her sight for very long. She just gets cranky. So that is what today has been like. Boring I know but when your a mom, sometimes the most boring days turn into the most tiredsome.

Another Day in the Life

Have you ever had those days that just go on and on? Well, for some reason that has been my week. This past week as been one strange week and for some reason I just can't seem to get it to stop. Between school, work and home I am feeling a tad stressed. Then on the one day I hope to sleep in the kid wakes me up because she wants to try on clothes. Grrr. So my week has ended the same way it started...with the kid in a bad mood.
In school this week we are discussing the differences in the generations and the way they work. Hmmm. Let's see (no offence) the younger generation tends to be lazy, rude and not caring of where their next meal is coming from. I think we have done this to them. I was taught that you work hard. I was taught that you treat everyone with respect and I was taught that the customer was always right. (Until you prove them stupid.) Let's face it the work force has changed. We are no longer to tell a person no, that wasn't right. Sometimes we just have to go with the flow. Like this past week. Though strange, it makes sence to just relax and go with it....or to crawl back into bed and pretend the day isn't happening.

Welcome to my life

Though I'm not new to the whole blogging world I am new to this particular blog. My name is Tiffany and I'm usually a pretty busy person. My little girl Bella is about to five in April. She is my pride and joy and also my headache sometimes. I am also a writer. I love to write and already have a few books under my belt. I currently work part time in small town and go to school full time. Life is truly special and there is never a dull moment.
I have thousands of opinions and I really don't care if people agree with me or not. That's life. I've learned that life is not the way it should always be and things are often not fair. Sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and go with it. I know I do.
