My name is Tiffany and I am inviting you into my family and all the ups and downs we experience. I don't have a filter and will tell you pretty much anything and everything I can. (This is cheaper then therapy) Due to this verbal vomiting I change the names of all those I hold near and dear and even those I don't because though I have given you a day pass into my life, they haven't and I will respect their wishes and thoughts in this area. Main players will always be my daughter Mini.

The Holidays

Hello faithful followers. It's me again and here is a quick run down of what's been going on. Mini won 2nd place in her cheer and now it's over. (I'm glad and sad all at the same time) I got to work a book fair at her school. And now here I sit in my own little home working...Yep that's right I am fully set up to work. Now if I can just get some more money all will be well in my tiny little world.
So as most of you know it's that time again. Time for caroling, singing, being thankful, cussing at the credit card bill and basically showing good will toward men. Yep it's the holidays. Most people spend them having turkey with their family and being in a jolly mood. Me? Well I'm not most people. Sure, I enjoy family and of course I enjoy the food but what I don't enjoy is the guilt trips and drama that comes with it all. (that and the price tags) Mini has been doing her wish list and hubbies family has already started in on the making people feel bad. By the way I'm not into that. But I figure I will let them blame me so that they don't blame hubby (even though it was his idea) I'll be the bad guy. Oh wait you don't know what I'm talking about well it all started over Thanksgiving.....
The in-law asked if we could change our plans and go to their house. When hubby said no because we (me and mini) had plans to go camping with the rents the in-law got upset. (Note: Hubby can't go cause he has to work on black friday. ps I am sending him with MY wish list...hehe) the in-law stated that we should be there because of o.g.'s stroke. (side note: she is doing so much better and making real progress. Thanks for the prayers) Hubby informed her that we again already have plans and reservations. So he hangs up and is a tad upset. (don't blame him) I call and in-law gives me the same thing. Here is where I point out that about Christmas back when I needed to be with my family and yet I still managed to be there. We also pointed out that hubby could go to which we were informed that he wasn't good enough. (they want mini. insert eye roll) I am keeping my calm about all this because I do understand how it is. I know it's frustrating and I get that you want everyone together but then in-law says that since I came along hubby doesn't spend holidays and they never see him. First off I have to say that upset me. It sounds as if I've taken something away and second I am the reason hubby does stuff with family. Again I understand I am the bad guy but we did thanksgiving with them for 4 years without me spending it with my family. Of course some drama insued and we decided to spend it with my family but I haven't taken anything from anyone. So my feelings are hurt and in-law isn't speaking to me. That's fine, and hubby is...well I'm not guessing on his emotion but I can tell you it hasn't been pretty.
So since the in-laws won't see it I'm going to tell you that hubby is an amazing man. He has held down a good job (with benifits) for 10 years. He has taken care of and supported me and mini no matter what. He is my best friend who get's how I am and I am proud of him and everything that he is. It makes me mad that they still treat him like he is a child and that they wont take him serious. And I wish just once they would fully acknowledge that he has a family and has his own idea of how he wants us to be.
So to boil Thanksgiving down I am thankful for him. And I am sorry that he makes choices that hurt the family but please feel free to blame it on me so that you don't have to admit he has his own way of doing things.
See readers this holiday season is already starting out fun....All I need now is some really strong liquor and happy pills. (Insert shutter and fake smile here) Well as always I will keep you posted. I mean something is bound to come up right?
