Well hello there to all my faithful readers. Sorry I haven't written in a while I have been working on another site hubpages.com This is more of an article site and not much of a blog site. Anyway let's get to whats been going on. After our air went out Roo and I had a bit of an ordeal over the fact that it may be time for me to become employed which is way easier then it looks.
I put in some resumes and then while I was house/dog sitting for Boo (brother) and SIL I got a call and an interview. I went they liked me and offered me the job only to be called on Monday and have that offered rescinded. My credit would not allow them to hire me. I was bummed. I was really bummed mainly because I thought it would be a good fit. But then I find out that Roo and the rest of my family didn't think it was a good idea. They had been rooting for me with half heart-ed hopes that I not get it because of the type of business and the location. I wasn't mad after I got over being bummed I had to agree. It probably wasn't the job for me. So it back to the grind.
I have put in 80 something resumes and applications and and I have only heard from a few people. I was going to have an interview last week but after looking once again at the company I had to go back on it. When I applied I had miss understood what it was and it ended up being a Sales position in a marketing firm. It would be fun but I don't think it was right for me.
My next two interviews took place online. One company said that though I meet many of the qualifications I didn't have enough experience. That was ok I understood. The second online interview went really well. They liked me and offered me the job right on the spot. Then I got the bad check in the mail that was signed by John Hancock. I laughed and skipped that one. I wasn't falling for it.
Today's interview was for an insurance company. I had put in for a Customer Service position. What I got offered was a sales position, door to door sales. Everything looked good on paper and I even got called back for an 2nd interview I'm just not sure if it's right for me. Sure we need the money but I don't want to take just any job. I think I would be cutting myself off from something really great. Ok well that's whats been going on in my world. Hows yours looking

A song to help your sadness
There's this song by Florence and the Machine that I heard. Of course I didn't hear the original version until I was searching for the glee version and to tell the truth for me it makes more of an impact how the girls of glee sing it. it's Shake it Out. Every time I hear this song I close my eyes and I can feel...Well myself shaking it all off. This song has helped me break through my thoughts and get back to me or some semblance me. I recommend that if you've never heard this song that you take the minute and listen to it. I think this song could mean something to everyone. For me it tells me that there is a brighter day coming and that no matter what I need to shake off those feelings of despair. We all have demons inside. We all have things we fight and things we hide and through this song I've been able to start writing again. I'm able to put my life in perspective. Like I said just take a listen. It's always darkest before the dawn.
I am a strong believer that music can help us. I can cheer us on when we are high on top of the world and it can heal when we feel lost or broken. Music has always been something that I can turn to besides writing, I used to sing. Well I still sing but I used to sing loudly and I think over the years I've lost my voice. Sometimes as adults we do this. We lose our voice in many aspects of our lives. And of course with losing my voice I think I've lost a piece of me, or well who I used to be. I am constantly reinventing myself and I'm pretty good at that by now. But I still have that piece of me that remembers what it was to shine. Not that I don't shine in my own way now but I mean to really shine. I loved to sing, I still love to sing but it's not like it used to be. For those that read my blog and stories and anything else I do you may know that I love to write. It's one dream that I'm able to get to come true thanks to the internet. I find that when I'm by myself I still see myself as the young girl who used to have dreams of being big in the music world. I'm happy where I am at but again music always helps my various moods. So I just thought I'd give you something to listen to when your sad.

I am not sure that this is going to the
right department but I still feel the need to I have spoken to for different
people and have been told 4 different answers. I made a payment on the 11th for
74.08 it cleared my checking account on the 12th. I wake up to a phone call
from my mortgage company telling me that my payment has bounced. When I go to
look at my account there a was another payment of 74.08 taken out on the 12th
and cleared today on the 13th. I tried to call in but was hung up on before I
could speak with anyone. So I did the virtual chat
Shine (ID: C01): Hi, my name is
Shine (ID: C01). How may I help you?
Shine (ID: C01): Good Morning Tiffany.
tiffany vent: my checking account was doubled billed
tiffany vent: good morning
Shine (ID: C01): I am sorry to hear that, I will certainly check the
billing information for you.
Shine (ID: C01): Please give me a moment to access your account.
tiffany vent: ok
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you.
tiffany vent: This is the first time this has happened and the money is
took away from house payment so I need it back. lol
Shine (ID: C01): I understand your concern.
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you for your patience.
Shine (ID: C01): For security purposes, would you please verify the last
four digits of the Social Security Number on the account?
tiffany vent: 6704
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you.
Shine (ID: C01): Tiffany, I can submit the refund of one payment.
tiffany vent: yes please.
Shine (ID: C01): Could you please confirm your Billing address?
tiffany vent: 3750 elm grove rd, royse city tx 75189
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you.
Shine (ID: C01): One moment please.
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you for your patience.
Shine (ID: C01): The refund you have requested will be processed when
the payment that is being refunded has cleared the bank. After the funds have
cleared, we will attempt to process this refund for $74.08 electronically to
the bank account that the payment was made from. If we are unable to process
this electronically, a paper check will be cut and mailed to your billing
address.
Shine (ID: C01): From “My Profile” tab, you can also Edit/View your
account information such as Online ID, Online Password, Security Code, Security
Code Reminder, E-mail address and Phone numbers.
Shine (ID: C01): It was wonderful chatting with you. Is there anything
else I can assist you with?
tiffany vent: both payments have cleared the bank
Shine (ID: C01): Okay.
Shine (ID: C01): You have $0 balance on your account.
tiffany vent: Yes and have had one since the 11th
Shine (ID: C01): Yes Tiffany.
Shine
(ID: C01): The double payment was made on your account, so I successfully
submitted the refund for the one payment.
tiffany vent: I'm sorry so how long will the refund take? Because this
is messing with my house payement
Shine (ID: C01): You may receive the refund within 3-5 business days.
tiffany vent: is there any way to make it quicker?
Shine (ID: C01): I wish I could Tiffany, I do not have option to submit
the refund early.
tiffany vent: then what do I need to do. This is going to cause a check
to bounce severely and I can't afford that
Shine (ID: C01): Let me check with my supervisor.
Shine (ID: C01): One moment please.
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you for your patience.
tiffany vent: no problem
Shine (ID: C01): Tiffany, I have checked with my supervisor and I would
like to inform you that we do not have option to send the refund early.
However, I will provide a contact number who might help you in sending the
refund early.
tiffany vent: Anytime that I have made a payment before due date I have
never been recharged the next day because of the 0 balance. and you'll can't do anything about that?
Shine (ID: C01): Tiffany, I totally understand your concern.
Shine (ID: C01): If we have such option, I would probably do so.
Shine (ID: C01): I would request you to call 1-800-333-3474 and ask for
the Executive Resolution Team who might help you with the refund.
tiffany vent: Someone from your company needs to call me. I'm never late
on my account. I even pay for my movies the same day that I order them. I've
even upgraded and this is what happens. I've tried to call in and have been
hung up on. I need this resovled
Shine (ID: C01): Tiffany, I would request you to call 1-800-333-3474 and
ask for the Executive Resolution Team who might help you with the refund
This kind of explains what I was told. I
finally get a hold of someone Ashley at 9:28am she tells me that she can help
me. She is a CSR. I explain what has happened and she also tells me that it
will be 3-5 days. I tell her that is why I needed to be transferred to the
Executive Resolution Team. She tells me to please hold. Then comes back and
tells me there is a long wait, I told her not a problem. I'm now on hold again.
at 9:35 I am transferred to Daisy Hernandez at number 303-942-8605x 52476 I
once again explained the situation. She also tells me that there is nothing
that can be done. Because it can not just happen that way.
At this point I am a little upset. I pay my
bill, your company has it set up that the moment I rent a movie it
automatically comes out of my account. I'm on time or early every month, (Which
you can check.) I have never had this issue before and now I am being told this
can happen with automatic payments. I asked to speak with a supervisor at
9:43am and am put on hold. Then I speak with Cecilia and once again I have to
explain what has happened. (I don't really mind all that except I would think
they should take a look at the previous account history) She then proceeds to
tell me that even though the check has cleared it will now take 12-15 business
days because your company has to put the check on hold. I become a little more
upset at this because now instead of trying to get the money put back
immediately, so that I do not lose my home, I am having to ask the question of
exactly when will I get my refund. Cecilia tells me there's nothing she can do
and when I ask to speak with her supervisor she informs me that she is the
supervisor. So Not only am I writing to you but I am also making and keeping a
copy and detailed record of this whole interaction. I'm not sure why you have
an Executive Resolution team if there is nothing that can be done on this kind
of issue. I'm also not sure why I'm being told they could probably help me, it
would take 3-5 days oh and you hold the check payment of 12-15 days to make
sure it clears even though it has already cleared. So I guess my question after
all is said and done is where do I go from here with your company and what is
the truth? Because honestly my home
payment is more important but as I've said you've already been paid and cleared
so it's not like I can cancel the the check. If this is not the right
department I'm sorry I will continue with this email until it gets to where it
needs to go.

Ok so This was the email that I have sent them in several different departments. Then of course after some thought I decided to do something that so many others do and I put this on their FB page. With in 15 minutes I get a message from them. Michael H. is apologizing for my experience and he would like to help. So I give him some information on my account and our conversation is this:
48 minutes agoDish Network- Thank you Tiffany. Before I can access your account can you please verify your 4 digit pin number? -Michael H.
24 minutes agoDish Network- Thank you Tiffany, looking over your DISH account I see that you spoke with our Executive Resolutions Team about this issue. Since the payment was made yesterday the payment will be held for 8 days so the payment can fully clear your financial institution and the refund will be processed and the money will be sent back to you. I apologize about any inconveniences this is causing. Our system doesn't have an expedite option available. –Michael H.
23 minutes agoTiffany Vent- That is what I've been told but now you have given me another number. I bank with an online institution and it has been cleared. Not happy
I see that the payment is showing on our end. I can email my refunds department to see if there is any way we can get this expedited, but I can't make any promises. –Michael H

Some Random Thoughts
As I was driving today toward my bro's house I was listening to the radio. Kidd on KISS FM was talking about happiness and how much money people made. He said the people that were banking 75k were happier then someone who was banking 125k. Hmmm, this got me thinking what about the people who were not making this. What about the one income families that were only banking about 50k or the families that were covering 35k. Do you realize that right now there are more people who bank less then 50k then there was 25years ago. My family has been making it work for several years and yes we still struggle and yet I'm still pretty happy.
Yea well I'm a little sleep now so I'll have some more randomness later

A Wedding and Some Good Old Texas History
Hello to all my wonderful peeps I hope that ya'll 4th of July was what you all expected. Mine was pretty good. As you all may know by now (and if you don't then you obviously live under a rock) My birthday was last week and my older Bro married his beautiful fiance. This was a very happy occasion and I was able to meet more of my new sisters family. They all seem awesome and we all know how much I love awesomeness. Roo and I were given the honor of opening the door for the bride and her father as they walked into the church. Though we missed the awe of the other side we were both happy to be a part of this happy day. Since no one stood with them Boo had to be the one to hold the flowers (yes I know they have a name but I can't spell it right now) So below is the picture of him doing his first duty as the dutiful husband. Instead of holding her purse he shows his manliness with her flowers. It was so sweet.
As I watched the wedding I had tears in my eyes at how wonderful it was. See Roo and I decided to go JP (thankfully that has worked out for us) But there was a part of me that wishes that I would have had fuss made but even though I didn't I was still overcome with joy for my brother. See in life we all want someone who will stand beside us. We want someone who is just enough our opposite that they keep us grounded and that they compliment us. Sometime we are not lucky to find it at first (I think I was) but if we are patient then it will come. And for my brother it came in the form of this wonderful girl. I can't brag about her enough in my blogs Mainly because she has stood by us and with us. She has kept him happy and kept him jumping (which is what all good women do) She has put up with him and our crazy family and she fits in perfectly. Through her dreams she has made him realize his and I just can't say how awesome this is. So here is the happy couple. Below. Booboo (yes like the bear) and S-I-L. I'll have a catchy nickname for her soon. I love you both.
Ok, Now enough of the Mushy Mushy and onto the learning of something New. In Texas history we learn about all the great things about our great State. This past week my parent's and I were able to teach Mini about another figure in Texas History and were able to share with her an actual place to make it a little more real.
There have only been two presidents in the history of the United States that were born in Texas. Everyone knows that Lyndon B Johnson who was the 36th president of the United States was born in the small town of Stonewall, Tx. My mom and Memaw took me to see his home when I was younger. It was really cool, even though as a teenager I refused to acknowledge neatness. I have always loved history for several reasons. 1st it is always fascinating when you learn new facts about things. 2nd the people that we study in history are mostly dead so I can learn about them at my own pace because it's not going to change their story and they are obviously not going anywhere. (morbid I know) Anyway. In school I wrote a few papers on our 36th president painting a picture of respected and hardworking individual. Though I still feel like he was a very hard working man. He was a teacher, a navy man, a congressman, senator, vice president, president, husband and a father. In history many things are questioned but he is a Texas man even if it was his wife that really drew the crowd. But this weekend was not about him. So I'll move on.
On October 14,1890 there was another man born in Texas that would hold the presidency. Though for years he honestly couldn't tell you where in Texas he was born he would always refer to his mother on that question we knew, as Texans, that we could claim another in our History that belonged to us at first. This man's family, his parents and brothers, were from Kansas and only lived in Texas for 3 years in which time he was born. David Dwight Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890 in rent house located in Denison, Tx. And yes I got his birth name correct. His mother later reversed his name so there would not be any confusion on the issue of having two Davids in the Eisenhower house hold. Dwight D. Eisenhower was born and lived in Texas for only 2 years and yet those two years have allowed us to stake the claim that our 34th president was a Texas born man.
Above is the rent home that he was born in. His parents moved to Texas to try and get a fresh start and when his mother went into labor a doctor was called to the house. Though there are no memento's of the family this house still stands as the his first home. They have kept this home in good condition and it is the oldest building located on this street. Though we were quickly told that all buildings on property were at least 100 years old. All the Eisenhower boys were nicked named Ike as an abbreviation of their last name, even I write this I'm still kind of wondering about that.
During his time with the military he once again found himself in the state of his birth where he met and fell in love with his future bride. Though Maime was born in Boone, Iowa she found her way to Texas (I'm telling you there's just something about Texas) where she met the man she would call husband and father to their two children, even though one passed away of fever.
The picture to the left was taken Texas at St Mary's College in San Antonio, 1916.
I'm not really sure if this trip down history lane had a great impact on Mini but I know that one day she will be class one day learning about our 34th president and a memory will hit her and she will smile. I hope that she will be able to share a little piece of knowledge with her classmates but if she doesn't I hope she will still appreciate the little bit of random facts that she picked up this past weekend. I know I always enjoy history facts no matter how unimportant they seem. So that was my 4th of July holiday. Later Days.
