Week after Mothers Day

Hello to all my faithful readers. Well it's the week after Mothers Day and I can say last week was a little tougher then I thought it would be. It was destined to be a crappy week no matter what I did or wanted and that just sucks. I started the week with horrible cramps (I know a TMI, read your disclaimer on the blog) and ended the week with a total mood shift and crying. I think it was an overload of hormones. I should have been spending this mothers day with my two girls. I should have been having breakfast in bed snuggled with both my girls and well that didn't happen and with that thought my already hormal week went into extreme overdrive. To make things even funer I had people looking at me and treating me like I might be defected. I know that I'm being watched right now anyway to make sure that I am still where I need to be (I think) but last week just felt like a spot light was on me and I'm not really all that good with the whole spot light thing. Is it really crazy that I want to just be in the back ground. So I had a few sick days and sucked it up the best that I could. And my mothers day ended on a good note. We spent it with the family at the 'rent's house Poppa made bbq (I love his ribs) and everyone was there and I was happy for the whole family and the great day. Mini made me muffins in bed, of course she woke me up at 6:30 in the morning asking me if I was awake. She made me some Mothers Day cards at school and presented them to me when I became a little aware of the whole focusing in the am thing.
Theres some stuff I want to talk about but right now I just can't. I've typed it a hundred times in so many different forms and yet I'm just not ready to put what I'm thinking into actual readable words. So I will hold off for just a little bit longer. I need some more information in order to get everything worked out in my head. But I will know something soon. I hope. I plan to have everything into some sort of plan and actual working idea. Hmmm now I'm starting to ramble. So I guess that means I'm done today.

Mini's World Goes Round

Well hello there to all my faithful readers out there. Today is a fun edition that I hope people can take with a grain of salt as well as laugh as I have laughed today. Today's topic is Mini, yep it's going to be all about my little spitfire. Of course I will be putting some in about me mainly because it is MY blog and I do enjoy talking all about ME....lol Now lets get started on todays post. Ladies and gentlemen I give you Mini's World Goes Round

First off I feel the need to point a few key facts about my sweet little Mini. Besides being my shining light when things seem dark she is currently 7years old and in the last portion of her first grade year. This sweet little kid has seen alot of not so great stuff in her short years but she is still one of the sweetest kids you will ever meet. This year Roo and I have started to notice little changes in her personality. It started last year when we found out I was having another baby. Though she was excited she began having some small issues with thinking that she would not be as loved.  Once she got over some of the initial feelins she was all prepped to be a big sister only to have that taken away from. Though we still tell her how awesome a big sister she is After the death of Sophia we have all struggled to get back to something normal and she has slowly started to get back to her self. Of course this is were I stress that she is only 7 and she has more hormones in her tiny little system that I do at the age of....Well that's not really importan. So this past month she learned how to ride her bike all by herself (finally she has a place to do this) And she has began to show her personallity ever more to us. I'm not sure if we will be handle when she actually reaches her teenage years so With all that being said let me tell you what's going on in her world as of late.
Recently Mini has been introduced to a bully. Though she has been teased a few times she has always been good natured about it. But this kid has come in and totally changed the way our kids have been behaving during school hours. Again they are first grade. After I was told a few things about the youngster we shall call the kid L.S.H. (if you don't know me you won't get it if you do then...) L.S.H. has said some pretty mean things to my little Mini but she has been handling it pretty well though I think it is safe to say my being present more around her school helps her to speak up a little more. Now today Mini jumps in the car and first I am told that she made everyone laugh. I'm told this by Mrs. Sweets (her teacher) Acording to Mrs. Sweets they could her another child being spoken to and Mini of course said "Wow she's  hard core." Mrs. Sweets looks at Mini and asked if she thought she was being mean and Mini said "No but I wouldn't mess with her." After I got a good laugh out of this it was time to be on our way.
"Mini did you have a good day?"
"Yep, I'm green"
"Good and was L.S.H. nice to you? Did you ignore anything that was said?"
"Yeah, but Friday L.S.H. gave me a bow. Did I tell you?"
"Um, No."
"Well it wasn't his to give it belonged to another, but I didn't know it and I remembered that you said I couldn't bring anything else home that didn't belong to me so I didn't then today I asked the her if it was her and she said yea."
"Ok, so you gave it back?"
"Yes, well actually she snatched it from me. I don't think she knew that it was rude."
"Did you say anything to her? Did you tell her you were sorry and where you got it from?"
"No, I mean she was already mad so I think thats why she snatched it."
"Ok, why was she made?" (I would like to point out that this is really started to listen.)
"She was made because her BFF and her BF were playing with eachother."
"Wait.What?"
"Her BF didn't want to play with her instead he wanted to play with her BFF and they were ignoring her and she didn't like it so she snatched her bow, that I was giving back, our of my hand. And do you know she didn't say thank you." Mini was a little put out about this.
"Her BF, you mean boyfriend?"
Mini rolls her eyes, "Yes thats what I said her BF." at this point I am shaking head because I am so not ready for this stage. So I go to change the subject  and say "So what did you learn today?"
and Mini goes off on another story. Needless today her world is very round and constantly movings. Sometimes she gets quiet and she talks to herself about Sophia and sometimes she laughs a joke that shes made when no one is listening but for the most part she is a good kid and she is mine. I'd like to think we have been making some progress with her though this bully is not the progress I want her to make because I don't think any child should be made to feel unsafe in their school. But they are working to prevent it so we shall see. Luckly Mini hasn't really mentioned her boyfriend, if she has one, and I will just keep listening to her stories.
So as Mini's world goes round I give you this as a final thought. Parent's no matter how mundane or unimportant it may seem listen to your kids. Sometimes you learn important things in the small funny stories that they tell. Sometimes you just make them smile by being there and allowing them to speak their mind. It's a small thing, having a playground boyfriend but to it could mean a big thing later on in her life knowing that I took the time to listen.
I know I said I would have something about me in here but I think by just having today's post about Mini I've gotten my me time in....Later Days
