Many Thanksgivings

Happy Post Thanksgiving everyone. I hope that this blog finds you well. I've been lax in my posting as of late though I have some many things to write about. I've just been kind of quiet on quite a few issues. I'm gonna keep some of that to my self for the time being mainly because those involved may not understand my views on some of those. With that being said I would like to go over whats been going on. This year the holidays are proving to be rough. Mini is still doing pretty good but this is also a very hard time for us all. Me? Well I have my moments. This week kind of showed that maybe I'm not as well off as I think I am. I've dealt with it pretty well minus my bodies response to past and present stress. But this week Mini and I got to go camping with Papa and GiGi down in Fredicksburg. We had a good time even though Roo couldn't go with us. It was a long drive which Mini slept through but it was pretty good. Once we got down there it was time for our Thanksgiving time to begin. So whats my favorite part about this time of year, why you make ask well because of..........

Pumpkin Pie!!!!!!!
I'm not a real big pie eat but I do love me some pumpkin pie. That does make things go around. Gigi also tried her hand at making dressing for the first time oh and it was awesomeness. I'm still eating on it as we speak. So besides the great day of food and pj's we also went shopping in town. I love shopping in town
Me and Mini getting ready to go.
Mini outside of the LoneStar Candy Bar.

Not only did we go to Fredicksburg for Thanksgiving Mini had a school program. She played a turkey. And of course as her mom I have to say she was the cutest turkey there was. So on to my thankful list. On Facebook everyone, including myself, has been counting down what they are thankful for. So for you my readers I will tell you what I am thankful for.
I am thankful this year for so many things. Some things may not be as clear to some as what should be but for me I am thankful. I am thankful for my family. They are my rock. As many of you know this has been a rough year for us and with the help of my family I have been able to keep it together. Then I am thankful for the fact that these year is almost over. I'm not sure how I've made it this long, then again no is, but I am glad that this is almost over. I am thankful for my job. Though it may not be my dream I truly enjoy working with the people that I work with. I am thankful for my beautiful Mini. She is a pain as she grows but she is my joy in life and I couldn't imagine a better kid. She has such a sweet heart and there are so many things that I want for her I just can't begin to express enough. I am also thankful for my sweet Sophia. Though I only got be with her for a short time I am still blessed to have known her at all. I am thankful for the little bit of time I got to have her in my life. and I know that she is always with us even if she is not with us right at this moment. Now it's that time again. Time to start getting ready for Christmas. So we will do what we always and take a breath and begin again. Goodnight my faithful readers. I will try to be more forthcoming in the near future.

Tattoo's and Pumpkin Carvin

my wings for my angel.
Hello there to all my faithful readers. It's me again and it's that time for ghouls and goblins to come out. It's also time to let you know how things are going. So I'm going to start with that. This week marks the 8th month of our loss.Everyday we get stronger and some days it gets better. So Roo and I decided it was time to celebrate what little time we had with our sweet angel and we got our tattoos. I've had one for Mini for a few years and now and I was happy that she helped me pick this one out for her sister. Since Sophia is our angel in heaven we agreed that Mommy (thats me) should wear her wings. Roo wanted to have something for both his girls and he decided it was time to get their footprints. This was fitting since Mini can walk all over him at times. This is a reminder for the both of us that our girls are and will always be apart of us even when they can't be with us.
Not only did we get our special tat's we also got to do something for the first time this year. We got to carve pumpkins. Mini is big enough now that she wanted to try to carve her pumpkin so last Thursday her and Roo did some research before I got home so she could pick out the best carving. She opted for the pumpkin king. She was so excited when I got home and I was happy to do something know. We want to start giving her some good memories of this year and this was one of her favorite things. We all got in on the action. Mini cleaned the pumpkin out Roo drew on the stencil then we each got to cut some of the pumpkin then it was time for the reveal.
Roo getting the stencil ready
The left you see me and Mini making some of the cuts. I haven't carved a pumpkin in years so I had a lot of fun with this. and of course on the bottom you can see the finished product. So this is what we have been up to. Maybe soon we can have more stuff but for now I'm a little sleepy. So later days

To Fund or Not to Fund

I'm not a news kind of kid. I know it's crazy that I'm not really interested learning about all the bad stuff going on. I am a self proclaimed happy delusionist. (I'm sure that's not actually a word but I'm working with it.) If you have been hanging with me from the beginning you are very much aware of the fact that I'm not political and that I enjoy my happy little world full of chocolate waterfalls and gummy bears that sing. (see delusional) Anyway with that being said I'm appalled that anyone would want to cut funding to PBS. This station, though annoying during charity season, has been around since 1970 and has been a huge source of educational programming for many generations of children. It has also been a great source of debate as of late.
Since I am just learning of it again I feel the need to once again put in my two cents about this. How dare someone decide that cutting funding to pbs is how they are going to 'save' our country. I am the first to admit that we do need to cut funding in some areas but for a presidential candidate to stand in front of national television and declare that he will be the one to cut funding then in his next breath say he loves PBS and Big Bird. Why not discuss cutting funding to the actual government? Why not discuss how unfair it is for politicians to become richer while normal folks are struggling or the fact funding for our educational systems is failing, our teachers are not being treated well and schools are being forced to close. What about those issues? No? Those aren't really important your right there is a much bigger crisis at hand. (I'm nodding my head) PBS and Big Bird present a much bigger threat to our economic status.
Who is this man that can stand there and honestly decide he wants to cut funding so that we are not looking for money overseas? Excuse me while I stare dumbfounded at your idiocy. The world is changing. The US is changing and we are not exactly keeping with the ideas that our founders had for us. Our rights are slowly being stripped while those idiots who are concerned about PBS are trying to make their mark. Well let me make mine. We are failing as a country because we, the people, are refusing to speak up for the things that actually matter. We are continuing to elect men who want to change the world but end up being stuck behind a group of other men who can't seem to agree on anything but how to collect even more money for themselves.
Then of course you have your protesters who want to "Save" everything, except humanity and those that want to help "Every" child except the ones that are close to home. I do agree that we go overseas a little much for some of our charitable projects when we could be helping here a little more. But to cut funding from a station that has been providing educational programs for 42 years is a little laughable. I mean did you not like the letter H and the 14 as a child that you have to attack them today?  Are you looking back today and wondering if the guy that proof read your speech and debate topics really deserves to keep his job? I'm not saying the man will lose because of this horrible judgement in speech but he certainly did not make any friends by attacking a network that so many have grown up on.
Well that is my soap box.

Some awesomeness

Hello to all my faithful followers. Man it's seems like forever since I've written. So much has been going on so I guess I'll just jump right in. Both Roo and were able to get new cars. Thank you to Southwest Kia Rockwall for all your help. These guys were great. I got mine at the first of the month and was surprised at how easy the process was this time. I mean the last time I had a brand new car was 11 years ago and it was one horrible mistake that I am still kicking myself for. Anyway below is my car. One thing Roo loved was with the purchase of a new car you got a Pie. That's right people get a car get a pie.
So my car is on the left and Roo's new car is on the right. I know what your thinking what happened to our other cars. Well Roo has never had a brand new car so this was a big treat but we got rid of the van, though Mini loved it, because it just felt like we needed to. The van was the last piece of a hard part of this year. When we purchased the van it was with the idea that we would need the space for a stroller and various what-nots for Sophie so it has been a daily reminder of what we are missing and both Roo and I decided that it was time to let somethings go a little more. And the folks at Southwest were really awesome for helping us do that.
If you know me and pay attention to my FB then you may be aware that my dryer has been half-ass working. I could do a load of laundry quickly but to dry it would take almost a day and a half. So we decided that we needed to finally fix that. (I love having a job) and we went with Aarons to rent both for now until we have money saved for a brand new pair. I'm wanting blue but I'm good with red. Now I've been washing and drying all day and am totally loving it. So we have been really fortunate this month. Once again I want to say a big thank you to all our family and friends for standing by us as we continue to go through the motions. Mini is doing better though she still has her days. But we are looking toward the future. Who knows what it may have instore for us but what we do know is that for the first time in quite a long time we are looking forward to being able to do things again. We are looking forward to restarting on our house. And I'm looking forward to going in to work. (strange right?) So I'll leave you for now but again I wanted to share what's been going on in our world

it's me again

Well hello there to all my faithful readers it's been awhile since I've written so I figured I'd let everyone know whats been going on. First off I finally got a full time job. I know I know, but it was time. Roo and I decided that we needed it and that it would be good for me to get out of the house again. Mini hasn't been liking it too much only because I've been really tired when I get home but we are all adjusting. Along with the job I got a new car. A little Kia Rio. I like to say it's my congratulations you got a job car.
Mini really likes school she's been bringing home good grades and I hope it continues. So much has been going on and right now I think I've went a little blank. But I will be taking time to fill in the gaps with in the next few days and weeks. So hang back.

It has begun

Ah, the first day of school. Can't you feel it in the air? The night before we spent chilling and getting ready for the next day. Mini wanted wavy hair and since I don't have a crimper I chose to go a different route. We braided it all. While her hair was wet I put several braids and let her go to sleep with it so that it could dry. Once she get's up and you are able to get the braids undone then Mini's hair is crinkly.
Mini decided for the first day to be bright. I always love it when Mini chooses to wear bright colors. She went with a purple shirt, neon yellow skirt flower print tights. It reminded me of the 80's style and she looked so cute. She popped up out of bed and was excited to go for her first day. She says she's going to like her teacher and the kids in her class. The l.s. from last year is not there so we are hoping to have a smooth year. She came home with no homework for her but of course some homework for me. lol every year the parents have to be bombarded with paperwork the first day. I filled everything out and once again sent it back for the next day. Now I have to tell you that Mini got her hair cut yesterday after school. We have been telling her she needed a trim so I (yes I can see you cringing) tried to trim the ends. The problem was that she has had so many different layers that when I trimed the end it showed one of the layers and looked like I angled it up. (I'm not a stylest) The night before school I didn't notice it as bad and since we were braiding her hair it didn't really seem to mater of course after she got out of school yesterday and her hair had flattened out you could really see the mistake and I just couldn't let her go back today with it like that. So I called and made the appointment for it to be trimmed. Now when the girl trimmed it yesterday she tried to keep the length but when she was done I could still see a gap so I told her to fix it. Mini's not real happy with the short but she's not hating it either. We told her it would grow out.
This morning she was not so bright eyed. She got up dragging she's will get back into her routine by next week I hope, she got dressed and we went to school. For the second day my little fashionista went with a uniform blue skirt, a yellow and white top and some pink roman sandals. We went back and forth with the sandals but it turned out to look cute. Her hair is trimmed but I think we will still be able to do stuff with it. Anyway that was pretty much all there was to it. I'll keep you posted on how the Mini does.

End of Summer Review

Our summer started out with getting these two. Hershey and Jasmine. This was a way for me to fill a void what's funny is the fact that I don't think it was my void that it filled. Mini has gotten really attached but then again so have they. They are just like Abby they tend to stay in Mini's room more often than not. Also this summer Mini has decided that she wants to be a photographer. The picture to the left is one that she took and edited. For seven I think she did a pretty good job. Some of the pictures on this post were done by her. I will encourage anything that Mini dreams of being, well except for a drug addict. I might can be ok with a dealer but I think that would be pushing it. (haha pushing it...dealer haha get it?) Sorry Lame joke. Below is a picture of Abbygail. Mini was having some western fun and she actually allowed her to put a hat on her. I think it may have had something to do with the gun. Now before you go calling CPS the gun is totally fake. Her poppa had gotten it for her when we took a family vacation to San Antonio a few years ago. I may be able to shoot caps but I don't think we are going to go that way.
So Abby was a good model. After having her for so long she will let Mini do just about anything to her. Funny and Sad alll at the same time.
Mini then decided that I needed my picture taken. This one was one of the better one. I don't know how she does it but she finds away to get some of the worst pictures of me. I really need to teach her about lighting. lol. This summer everyone helped us keep Mini entertained. This was difficult sometimes but we all did a pretty good job. At the beginning of summer she */went and spent some time with her grandma, then we got to go and celebrate my brothers wedding to the girl of his dreams. When Mini went to spent some time with grandma we put some fake color in her hair. Thankfully this was not the color that it was. This was just because we were bored and she had been begging us to color it and since we had the spray I said let's do it. I kind of like the purple hair. She got go to the ft worth zoo she has always loved the animals. I kind of wish she does something with animals
When we asked Mini if she had fun she told us that her favorite part was seeing the monkeys but no really it was the penguins. After the zoo we got her home and went to the wedding. I'm still so happy for my brother. They held it on my Birthday weekend so I think that's good luck. I turned 30 and they got married. It could't be more perfect. Then Mini and I went with my parents camping for a week. At this point Mini hadn't been home but a full week. Once we came back home from that trip Mini and I headed off to Boo's & S-i-L's to house sit for their honeymoon. Mini's favorite part was the fact that they had a community pool and she got to play in the water daily and with other kids. From that visit she also got to stay then night with her cousins who she absolutely loves. She enjoyed it because she told me she could pretend that her youngest cousin was like her sister. (I teared up, she didn't see)

And yes I know that we will be in trouble when she gets older. She already to grown up for her own good sometimes. During that stay I enjoyed hanging out and getting my tan on. Of course by the second day I was a little lobster red. Thankfully it wasn't a full burn just a slight one and I turned a good golden brown. Thank you lord for my french heritage.

Sometimes the greatest thing in life are those simple moments. This summer we concentrated on trying to live those moments as a family. It's never been hard to live like that but it has been  hard to appreciate some of the time that we have together. Roo and I had spent so much time together that we both needed a few days, though we both hated he knew that I needed to get away for just a bit. It was also during the house sitting that I started looking for a job. I am still working on my teaching certificate but I need something now. I'm not even dwelling on that. The other simple moment that we took was a family yard day. My yard was horrible. I'm not even going to describe it, it was that bad. So Poppa decided that we were all gonna get up early and work on my yard. 2 mowers, 1 weed-eater and a tractor later I could see where Mini wanted to play. We got rid of a lot of crap that day.
After some more time with family, (she got to stay another week with her grandma and cousins) It was nearing time for school to start back up so her Poppa and Gigi wanted to take one last hoorah and go to Galveston. Roo and I went many moons ago and though I hated to miss out I'm so glad she got to go. We found out her new teacher is this year and Roo and I went to go meet her and do some PTO stuff while Mini got to play in the water and learn how to boogie board. Yes I'm jealous, but I'm so happy she had a great time.

Tonight is the last night before school starts tomorrow and she is already in bed. She wants wavy hair tomorrow so I just spent an hour braiding it. It was a little difficult this time around because of the dogs wanting to crawl all over her but we got it done. It's a little bitter sweet. Of course every year the end of summer has been bitter sweet. I'm glad she will be going back to school but I'm sad about how quick she is growing up. I'm supposed to start my new job soon and again I'm a little scared. It's the first time in really 7 years that I haven't worked either close to the house or at the house. So this will take some adjusting on all of our parts. So as I say good night. to you all I will keep you all in my prayers and I hope you will do the same. This year started out so horrible but slowly and surely we are doing better. This summer showed me just how affected Mini was and again I am so great full for everyone that helped us to keep her busy and entertained. You just don't know how much it has helped. Alright well I've given you a rundown on our summer again I'm sorry if I didn't keep as good a blog posting then normal but sometimes you have to step it back. So goodnight children. I hope you all have wonderful first days. Good luck Teachers, ya'll will be awesome and your students will be fortunate to have. Love you all.

Worse or Better

You know how people always give that certain look when they learn of a tragedy? Well for you sake's I hope you never are on the receiving. Of course I've also learned how their tone drops just enough to show sympathy and that really kind of irks me right now. But then again this weeks chalking up to not the best week in the world.
I have this big ball of sadness just sitting on my chest and though I'm trying so hard to push things to the side this week is starting out not so well. To tell the truth I'm not really a lot of fun. I didn't think of it at first. I mean I knew that I was feeling blue but I couldn't put my finger on the why. Then I figured it out. Tomorrow is 6 months. I thought I was doing well. Most days I am but for some reason my body and mind are telling me something different this week. I've thought about her a lot more here lately and it hurts all over again. Needless to say I'm not really happy this week. Then of course there are some other things popping up that I'm just not handling very well and I'm not in the mood or mindset to share. I'm back to feeling lost and I don't like that feeling in my world.
"It's always darkest before the dawn." I just wish I could see some dawn soon. I want something good to happen. Anyway that's my pitty party and I'll cry if I want to I guess.

Planning Halloween Mini Style

Good evening to all my faithful readers and welcome to another addition of my world. If you follow me on Facebook then you have probably heard this story but for those of you that do not then your gonna love it.
Mini has decided it's time to start picking out Halloween costumes. (Well ok I may have pointed out that she needed to start thinking about it mainly because of the budgets and what not.) So every day this past week and weekend she has come up with a new idea for Halloween. Some examples
For the Family
The Scooby Gang
The Jetsons
Tom & Jerry (not sure where I fit in with that one)
The Bratz dolls (Roo really loved that idea)
Zombies
Vampires
Witch Family

Ok so the above are just a few of the ideas she has had. She can even tell you who should be who. Of course she has had her very own ideas Princess, Cheerleader, Dancer, Cowgirl and so on. Oh and the living dead girl. I love that one, but no of those could have prepared me for today's Halloween idea.
Mini: (Running into the living room) Mom I know what I want to be for Halloween.
Me: Ok what? (She had mentioned Candy Land characters the other day and I thought we may still be on that one.)
Mini: A Slave.
Me: (After almost choking to death) Excuse me?
Mini: You know one of those Egyptian girls who do everything for the king.
Me: Um. you mean like a genie?
Mini: No not a genie a slave.
(By this time I am trying to not to laugh hysterically, which I fail. After I sober I simply ask why. This is the part that I sort of clench at. Sometimes Mini will go into some deep thought of detail and leave you wondering just where she came up with information. )
Mini: Because their outfits are so cute.
(Or there's that for a reason.)
There are so many ways this talk could have went and so many different directions instead of informing my 7 year old that she was talking about a Harem I went with my next question. "And where did you learn about this?"
Mini smiled (oh lord what do I have to block now?) Tom and Jerry.
And this is where I just become speechless. I have nothing. I stutter sputter and mumbler but I've got nothing. She is so proud of her Halloween costume idea and the fact that she can be a Slave. I once again corrected her and said "Let's just call it a genie." she asks if we can talk to Daddy about it and Roo of course said "She's too young." to which I counter with "I'd rather dress her up now while it can be innocent and cute instead of when she 15-17 and really see what it's about" Needless to say the "Genie" is still in the bottle and we are still discussing. I just thought you would enjoy the funness of Mini. Later Days

5 months

Five months have went by and there is still not a single day that I do not miss my little girl. There are so many of my friends that are now expecting and I am truly happy for them but also envious. I wish them joy in their pregnancies. I am still thankful for my family. It's gotten a little easier as we allow the time to pass quietly. Every month on the day that she was born I still feel the pain deep inside but it does get easier. In 20 more days it will be 6 months. Half a year has gone by. I'm not sure that I should be as ok as I am right now. I mean I still have moments of heartache. I'm still unable to look at things without tearing up and Mini is starting to talk about her more. But It's still getting better. Sorrow is still there and it always will be. There is still something missing but it does get better. Not so much better but sometimes easier. I will plan on going to see her this week sometime, Mini wants to visit and so do I but I may also find a reason that I can't. It hurts both less and more to visit.
I am at the stage I can smile and I can feel other emotions but then I can sit down and cry for the loss and the  things that I will not get to share. So that's it. It's been a little over 5 months and we are still here.

The Job Search

Well hello there to all my faithful readers. Sorry I haven't written in a while I have been working on another site hubpages.com This is more of an article site and not much of a blog site. Anyway let's get to whats been going on. After our air went out Roo and I had a bit of an ordeal over the fact that it may be time for me to become employed which is way easier then it looks.
I put in some resumes and then while I was house/dog sitting for Boo (brother) and SIL I got a call and an interview. I went they liked me and offered me the job only to be called on Monday and have that offered rescinded. My credit would not allow them to hire me. I was bummed. I was really bummed mainly because I thought it would be a good fit. But then I find out that Roo and the rest of my family didn't think it was a good idea. They had been rooting for me with half heart-ed hopes that I not get it because of the type of business and the location. I wasn't mad after I got over being bummed I had to agree. It probably wasn't the job for me. So it back to the grind.
I have put in 80 something resumes and applications and and I have only heard from a few people. I was going to have an interview last week but after looking once again at the company I had to go back on it. When I applied I had miss understood what it was and it ended up being a Sales position in a marketing firm. It would be fun but I don't think it was right for me.
My next two interviews took place online. One company said that though I meet many of the qualifications I didn't have enough experience. That was ok I understood. The second online interview went really well. They liked me and offered me the job right on the spot. Then I got the bad check in the mail that was signed by John Hancock. I laughed and skipped that one. I wasn't falling for it.
Today's interview was for an insurance company. I had put in for a Customer Service position. What I got offered was a sales position, door to door sales. Everything looked good on paper and I even got called back for an 2nd interview I'm just not sure if it's right for me. Sure we need the money but I don't want to take just any job. I think I would be cutting myself off from something really great. Ok well that's whats been going on in my world. Hows yours looking

A song to help your sadness

There's this song by Florence and the Machine that I heard. Of course I didn't hear the original version until I was searching for the glee version and to tell the truth for me it makes more of an impact how the girls of glee sing it. it's Shake it Out. Every time I hear this song I close my eyes and I can feel...Well myself shaking it all off. This song has helped me break through my thoughts and get back to me or some semblance me. I recommend that if you've never heard this song that you take the minute and listen to it. I think this song could mean something to everyone. For me it tells me that there is a brighter day coming and that no matter what I need to shake off those feelings of despair. We all have demons inside. We all have things we fight and things we hide and through this song I've been able to start writing again. I'm able to put my life in perspective. Like I said just take a listen. It's always darkest before the dawn.

I am a strong believer that music can help us. I can cheer us on when we are high on top of the world and it can heal when we feel lost or broken. Music has always been something that I can turn to besides writing, I used to sing. Well I still sing but I used to sing loudly and I think over the years I've lost my voice. Sometimes as adults we do this. We lose our voice in many aspects of our lives. And of course with losing my voice I think I've lost a piece of me, or well who I used to be. I am constantly reinventing myself and I'm pretty good at that by now. But I still have that piece of me that remembers what it was to shine. Not that I don't shine in my own way now but I mean to really shine. I loved to sing, I still love to sing but it's not like it used to be. For those that read my blog and stories and anything else I do you may know that I love to write. It's one dream that I'm able to get to come true thanks to the internet. I find that when I'm by myself I still see myself as the young girl who used to have dreams of being big in the music world. I'm happy where I am at but again music always helps my various moods. So I just thought I'd give you something to listen to when your sad.

I made a payment on the 11th for 74.08 it cleared my checking account on the 12th. I wake up to a phone call from my mortgage company telling me that my payment has bounced. When I go to look at my account there a was another payment of 74.08 taken out on the 12th and cleared today on the 13th. I tried to call in but was hung up on before I could speak with anyone. So I did the virtual chat

Shine (ID: C01): Hi, my name is Shine (ID: C01). How may I help you?
Shine (ID: C01): Good Morning Tiffany.
tiffany vent: my checking account was doubled billed
  tiffany vent: good morning
Shine (ID: C01): I am sorry to hear that, I will certainly check the billing information for you.
Shine (ID: C01): Please give me a moment to access your account.
  tiffany vent: ok
  Shine (ID: C01): Thank you.
tiffany vent: This is the first time this has happened and the money is took away from house payment so I need it back. lol
Shine (ID: C01): I understand your concern.
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you for your patience.
Shine (ID: C01): For security purposes, would you please verify the last four digits of the Social Security Number on the account?
  tiffany vent: 6704
  Shine (ID: C01): Thank you.
Shine (ID: C01): Tiffany, I can submit the refund of one payment.
  tiffany vent: yes please.
Shine (ID: C01): Could you please confirm your Billing address?
tiffany vent: 3750 elm grove rd, royse city tx 75189
  Shine (ID: C01): Thank you.
Shine (ID: C01): One moment please.
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you for your patience.
Shine (ID: C01): The refund you have requested will be processed when the payment that is being refunded has cleared the bank. After the funds have cleared, we will attempt to process this refund for $74.08 electronically to the bank account that the payment was made from. If we are unable to process this electronically, a paper check will be cut and mailed to your billing address.
Shine (ID: C01): From “My Profile” tab, you can also Edit/View your account information such as Online ID, Online Password, Security Code, Security Code Reminder, E-mail address and Phone numbers.
Shine (ID: C01): It was wonderful chatting with you. Is there anything else I can assist you with?
tiffany vent: both payments have cleared the bank
  Shine (ID: C01): Okay.
Shine (ID: C01): You have $0 balance on your account.
tiffany vent: Yes and have had one since the 11th
  Shine (ID: C01): Yes Tiffany.
Shine (ID: C01): The double payment was made on your account, so I successfully submitted the refund for the one payment.
tiffany vent: I'm sorry so how long will the refund take? Because this is messing with my house payement
Shine (ID: C01): You may receive the refund within 3-5 business days.
tiffany vent: is there any way to make it quicker?
Shine (ID: C01): I wish I could Tiffany, I do not have option to submit the refund early.
tiffany vent: then what do I need to do. This is going to cause a check to bounce severely and I can't afford that
Shine (ID: C01): Let me check with my supervisor.
Shine (ID: C01): One moment please.
Shine (ID: C01): Thank you for your patience.
  tiffany vent: no problem
Shine (ID: C01): Tiffany, I have checked with my supervisor and I would like to inform you that we do not have option to send the refund early. However, I will provide a contact number who might help you in sending the refund early.
tiffany vent: Anytime that I have made a payment before due date I have never been recharged the next day because of the 0 balance.  and you'll can't do anything about that?
Shine (ID: C01): Tiffany, I totally understand your concern.
Shine (ID: C01): If we have such option, I would probably do so.
Shine (ID: C01): I would request you to call 1-800-333-3474 and ask for the Executive Resolution Team who might help you with the refund.
tiffany vent: Someone from your company needs to call me. I'm never late on my account. I even pay for my movies the same day that I order them. I've even upgraded and this is what happens. I've tried to call in and have been hung up on. I need this resovled
Shine (ID: C01): Tiffany, I would request you to call 1-800-333-3474 and ask for the Executive Resolution Team who might help you with the refund

This kind of explains what I was told. I finally get a hold of someone Ashley at 9:28am she tells me that she can help me. She is a CSR. I explain what has happened and she also tells me that it will be 3-5 days. I tell her that is why I needed to be transferred to the Executive Resolution Team. She tells me to please hold. Then comes back and tells me there is a long wait, I told her not a problem. I'm now on hold again. at 9:35 I am transferred to Daisy Hernandez at number 303-942-8605x 52476 I once again explained the situation. She also tells me that there is nothing that can be done. Because it can not just happen that way.
At this point I am a little upset. I pay my bill, your company has it set up that the moment I rent a movie it automatically comes out of my account. I'm on time or early every month, (Which you can check.) I have never had this issue before and now I am being told this can happen with automatic payments. I asked to speak with a supervisor at 9:43am and am put on hold. Then I speak with Cecilia and once again I have to explain what has happened. (I don't really mind all that except I would think they should take a look at the previous account history) She then proceeds to tell me that even though the check has cleared it will now take 12-15 business days because your company has to put the check on hold. I become a little more upset at this because now instead of trying to get the money put back immediately, so that I do not lose my home, I am having to ask the question of exactly when will I get my refund. Cecilia tells me there's nothing she can do and when I ask to speak with her supervisor she informs me that she is the supervisor. So Not only am I writing to you but I am also making and keeping a copy and detailed record of this whole interaction. I'm not sure why you have an Executive Resolution team if there is nothing that can be done on this kind of issue. I'm also not sure why I'm being told they could probably help me, it would take 3-5 days oh and you hold the check payment of 12-15 days to make sure it clears even though it has already cleared. So I guess my question after all is said and done is where do I go from here with your company and what is the truth?  Because honestly my home payment is more important but as I've said you've already been paid and cleared so it's not like I can cancel the the check. If this is not the right department I'm sorry I will continue with this email until it gets to where it needs to go.

Ok so This was the email that I have sent them in several different departments. Then of course after some thought I decided to do something that so many others do and I put this on their FB page. With in 15 minutes I get a message from them. Michael H. is apologizing for my experience and he would like to help. So I give him some information on my account and our conversation is this:

    Dish Network
    • Thank you Tiffany. Before I can access your account can you please verify your 4 digit pin number? -Michael H.

    Tiffany Vent
    • 5683

    Dish Network
    • Thank you Tiffany, looking over your DISH account I see that you spoke with our Executive Resolutions Team about this issue. Since the payment was made yesterday the payment will be held for 8 days so the payment can fully clear your financial institution and the refund will be processed and the money will be sent back to you. I apologize about any inconveniences this is causing. Our system doesn't have an expedite option available. –Michael H.

    Tiffany Vent
    • That is what I've been told but now you have given me another number. I bank with an online institution and it has been cleared. Not happy

    Dish Network

I see that the payment is showing on our end. I can email my refunds department to see if there is any way we can get this expedited, but I can't make any promises. –Michael H

Now I am normally not the person that actually puts any of this particular info out for the public but with this subject I think it's something to share because I've just got screwed and they do not wish take any blame and they do not wish to make anything right. I mean they could take the money out with in a blink of an eye but there is a waiting process for them to give it back when it was their mistake...hmmm doesn't seem right. and of course they have deleted my post from their page....

    Some Random Thoughts

As I was driving today toward my bro's house I was listening to the radio. Kidd on KISS FM was talking about happiness and how much money people made. He said the people that were banking 75k were happier then someone who was banking 125k. Hmmm, this got me thinking what about the people who were not making this. What about the one income families that were only banking about 50k or the families that were covering 35k. Do you realize that right now there are more people who bank less then 50k then there was 25years ago. My family has been making it work for several years and yes we still struggle and yet I'm still pretty happy.
Yea well I'm a little sleep now so I'll have some more randomness later

A Wedding and Some Good Old Texas History

Hello to all my wonderful peeps I hope that ya'll 4th of July was what you all expected. Mine was pretty good. As you all may know by now (and if you don't then you obviously live under a rock) My birthday was last week and my older Bro married his beautiful fiance. This was a very happy occasion and I was able to meet more of my new sisters family. They all seem awesome and we all know how much I love awesomeness. Roo and I were given the honor of opening the door for the bride and her father as they walked into the church. Though we missed the awe of the other side we were both happy to be a part of this happy day. Since no one stood with them Boo had to be the one to hold the flowers (yes I know they have a name but I can't spell it right now) So below is the picture of him doing his first duty as the dutiful husband. Instead of holding her purse he shows his manliness with her flowers. It was so sweet.
As I watched the wedding I had tears in my eyes at how wonderful it was. See Roo and I decided to go JP (thankfully that has worked out for us) But there was a part of me that wishes that I would have had fuss made but even though I didn't I was still overcome with joy for my brother. See in life we all want someone who will stand beside us. We want someone who is just enough our opposite that they keep us grounded and that they compliment us. Sometime we are not lucky to find it at first (I think I was) but if we are patient then it will come. And for my brother it came in the form of this wonderful girl. I can't brag about her enough in my blogs Mainly because she has stood by us and with us. She has kept him happy and kept him jumping (which is what all good women do) She has put up with him and our crazy family and she fits in perfectly. Through her dreams she has made him realize his and I just can't say how awesome this is. So here is the happy couple. Below. Booboo (yes like the bear) and S-I-L. I'll have a catchy nickname for her soon. I love you both.
Ok, Now enough of the Mushy Mushy and onto the learning of something New. In Texas history we learn about all the great things about our great State. This past week my parent's and I were able to teach Mini about another figure in Texas History and were able to share with her an actual place to make it a little more real.
There have only been two presidents in the history of the United States that were born in Texas. Everyone knows that Lyndon B Johnson who was the 36th president of the United States was born in the small town of Stonewall, Tx. My mom and Memaw took me to see his home when I was younger. It was really cool, even though as a teenager I refused to acknowledge neatness. I have always loved history for several reasons. 1st it is always fascinating when you learn new facts about things. 2nd the people that we study in history are mostly dead so I can learn about them at my own pace because it's not going to change their story and they are obviously not going anywhere. (morbid I know) Anyway. In school I wrote a few papers on our 36th president painting a picture of respected and hardworking individual. Though I still feel like he was a very hard working man. He was a teacher, a navy man, a congressman, senator, vice president, president, husband and a father. In history many things are questioned but he is a Texas man even if it was his wife that really drew the crowd. But this weekend was not about him. So I'll move on.

On October 14,1890 there was another man born in Texas that would hold the presidency. Though for years he honestly couldn't tell you where in Texas he was born he would always refer to his mother on that question we knew, as Texans, that we could claim another in our History that belonged to us at first. This man's family, his parents and brothers, were from Kansas and only lived in Texas for 3 years in which time he was born. David Dwight Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890 in rent house located in Denison, Tx. And yes I got his birth name correct. His mother later reversed his name so there would not be any confusion on the issue of having two Davids in the Eisenhower house hold. Dwight D. Eisenhower was born and lived in Texas for only 2 years and yet those two years have allowed us to stake the claim that our 34th president was a Texas born man.
Above is the rent home that he was born in. His parents moved to Texas to try and get a fresh start and when his mother went into labor a doctor was called to the house. Though there are no memento's of the family this house still stands as the his first home. They have kept this home in good condition and it is the oldest building located on this street. Though we were quickly told that all buildings on property were at least 100 years old. All the Eisenhower boys were nicked named Ike as an abbreviation of their last name, even I write this I'm still kind of wondering about that.
During his time with the military he once again found himself in the state of his birth where he met and fell in love with his future bride. Though Maime was born in Boone, Iowa she found her way to Texas (I'm telling you there's just something about Texas) where she met the man she would call husband and father to their two children, even though one passed away of fever.

The picture to the left was taken Texas at St Mary's College in San Antonio, 1916.

I'm not really sure if this trip down history lane had a great impact on Mini but I know that one day she will be class one day learning about our 34th president and a memory will hit her and she will smile. I hope that she will be able to share a little piece of knowledge with her classmates but if she doesn't I hope she will still appreciate the little bit of random facts that she picked up this past weekend. I know I always enjoy history facts no matter how unimportant they seem. So that was my 4th of July holiday. Later Days.

    Happy Birthday to Me!!!

I don't know if you know this but today is my birthday. I know, I know your shocked and amazed that I could keep it a secret. (lol) So today was pretty awesome, Mom and Mini took me to breakfast then it was of to shop for dresses for my big bro's wedding on Saturday. Then it was off to the house for a quick nap then off to dinner. It's been  a good day. I've had some really great birthday wishes and I feel blessed by all the love. I'm still celebrating my birthday for a few more days mainly cause that's what I do. Now that's I've entered Club 30 I have pondered if there was anything that I would change. And after thinking about it the last few days I have decided that no there's really not. Even when we struggle to keep our heads above water I am actually pretty happy because I am surrounded by loved ones and I have the greatest husband in the world. (I'm biased) Even though this week we've had some hot tempered discussions over the lack of air I am still glad that I am able to spend every day with him. I have always had an awesome support system and I am sure that the next 30 years will only make us stronger. So what did Roo get me for the big 3-0? I'm not sure yet but I'm sure it will be spectacular.
10 years ago on my birthday I was working at Six Flags. During that time Roo and I lived Gunbarrel. For those that don't know that is about 1 1/2 from where I worked. I was running late and jamming (yes I said jamming) to Pink, when I happened to look up in the mirror and saw red, white and blue flashing behind me. The officer informed me that I was speeding and wrote me a $200 ticket. As he handed me my DL and ticket he smiled and told me "Oh and by the way Happy Birthday" as I then made my way to work, a little slower, I began to feel the clouds over head. At work that day I pulled several muscles in my leg and a few other things. I reminded myself once again why I hated to work on my birthday and decided once and for all that if I could avoid it I would. Now I told you my police story to tell you this one.
This morning as my mom, Mini and I were on our way to breakfast I was driving in a construction zone. As I got right up beside a large truck I noticed a sheriffs car behind me. I noticed that he had been following me for a bit now, then went to exit. When I exited off the highway I saw that he was exiting too. I made sure that my speed was right, I even used my signals to move lanes. I thought all was well and this man was going to go right past me. But then his lights began to flash. After pulling into a parking lot and beginning to sweat a little, he then informed me that the reason he stopped me was because I had a taillight out. (Phew) Mom mentioned that it was my birthday and the officer replied with "Well let me run this and I'll be back." After deciding that I wasn't a wanted criminal he told me happy birthday and sent me on my way. So it's safe to say that I started my 30's the same I started my 20's except with out the ticket. Hopefully my 30's will treat me better. Good night peeps

    Birthday Week Day Two

Good evening  to all my faithful readers. And welcome to my all week celebration of my 30th birthday and with that being said I can tell you that so far it's been Hell. Yesterday we kicked it off pretty good up until my air decided to go out. Since it went out late yesterday afternoon it was pretty much told us that we would be with out air. I called one company and sure they could come out but then they called to inform me that they would not be able to make it out so it was up to Roo to find someone to come out. Once the guy comes out he make a repair only to discover that what should have been fixed still wasn't. We still have no air. But don't think we stayed there, we took the Mini and the puppies and went to stay with the 'rents. Ahh, cool air. So now we are working on getting that fixed. Not the way to start out this week.
And now on to the fun.

What's great about that is that Mini thinks that both of those cartoon figures are new. When she saw this picture she couldn't believe that those two characters where around when I was little. I was about five I think. I can't remember and I can't make out the candles.

Then years later that cute little girl grew into a young woman. And though I didn't realize it I was just entering my years of awesomeness. For the next 30 years.. I will try to better as a person. I will strive to continue to be the person my parents raised me to be and to make my family proud. Ok well next to the next portion of the our game. What things if do I wish I change. that will be tomorrows entry.

Gearing up for 30 years of Awesome

Hello boys and girls. I hope your week has been well. Mine has been pretty good. It started with Mini going off to the in-laws for a week of fun. She had a great time out in the woods playing and walking and of course running her grandmother ragged. (hee, hee) then she finished it off with a fun trip to the zoo, below is her favorite zoo hat they got her. Though I am glad she had a good time I was happy to have her home again. I always miss my little Mini when she is away...Of course I'm always thankful for the bit of peace I get
Ok so if you read the title of this blog and you follow me on facebook you may already know that my birthday is coming up. I see my birthday as a holiday and have always believed it should be celebrated as such. But this year I am joining Club 30. (or as some would call it the Dirty 30s) Surprisingly I am good with it and as such I will be celebrating 30 years of awesomeness. My next blog will give a run down and some fun pics of me over the span of my 30 years on this earth. Yes, I know I have issues but then again I must point you to the right --------->
When you opened my blog you basically signed the waiver that said I was going to torture you, no I mean entertain you with my the aspects of my life and this birthday happens to be a big chunk of my life. So sit back get ready and lets have some fun. (rolling my eyes and muttering) oh and if there is something you want to know or have me address in my trip through the years then please comment or message me and I will do my best to answering any questions no matter how embarrassing. But 10-1 I'll address your question with out even hearing or reading it. Ok now its time for some church fun. Later Days peeps. And I look forward to traveling down memory lane as I count down to the big 3-0.

    Happy Fathers Day

Hello to all my faithful readers, I hope that you are enjoying this Fathers Day Sunday. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there and with that being said here is this weekends question. What is Father? Well quite honestly any man can be a father but it takes a special type a man to be a dad. For a daughter, a dad plays a major role in their lives. For those that are fortunate enough to have a dad in their lives this is the man who you will judge all other men in your life to. For me personally my Dad is just such a man. He is a jack of all trades kind of man. My dad has always been there for me, he has encouraged me and held me in times of sadness. He has been there to laugh with me and at me in times of joy. I am one of the many "Daddy's Girls" out there. In my eyes he can do no wrong (well most of the time) My dad is my hero and this is one day out of the year that I am able to show that. So to my daddy, I love you!!!
Roo is also such a dad. His little girl looks up to him. Mini shows everyday just how much she relies on her dad. Though as a mom I feel a little left out at times it is a bond that I am glad that they share. My mom is my best friend folks and I am not ashamed to say this. She stands by me no matter what type of crazy I am involved in. I can only hope that Mini will feel the same about me one day. Roo is her dad, her hero, her knight in shining armor (how weird is that?) like my own dad I know that Roo will be there for in all her many  emotions. It means the world to a little girl when her dad is able to make her smile even through her tears and though there are times that it may not be wanted it will always be appreciated. To many kids today are left with out parents and to many are not lucky enough to have parents that love them. I feel for these kids. Family is very important and a fathers love is just as important. So dads show your children love. (wow as I read this I know it shows as ramblings) Ok well that is all today
