I don't know if you know this but today is my birthday. I know, I know your shocked and amazed that I could keep it a secret. (lol) So today was pretty awesome, Mom and Mini took me to breakfast then it was of to shop for dresses for my big bro's wedding on Saturday. Then it was off to the house for a quick nap then off to dinner. It's been a good day. I've had some really great birthday wishes and I feel blessed by all the love. I'm still celebrating my birthday for a few more days mainly cause that's what I do. Now that's I've entered Club 30 I have pondered if there was anything that I would change. And after thinking about it the last few days I have decided that no there's really not. Even when we struggle to keep our heads above water I am actually pretty happy because I am surrounded by loved ones and I have the greatest husband in the world. (I'm biased) Even though this week we've had some hot tempered discussions over the lack of air I am still glad that I am able to spend every day with him. I have always had an awesome support system and I am sure that the next 30 years will only make us stronger. So what did Roo get me for the big 3-0? I'm not sure yet but I'm sure it will be spectacular.
10 years ago on my birthday I was working at Six Flags. During that time Roo and I lived Gunbarrel. For those that don't know that is about 1 1/2 from where I worked. I was running late and jamming (yes I said jamming) to Pink, when I happened to look up in the mirror and saw red, white and blue flashing behind me. The officer informed me that I was speeding and wrote me a $200 ticket. As he handed me my DL and ticket he smiled and told me "Oh and by the way Happy Birthday" as I then made my way to work, a little slower, I began to feel the clouds over head. At work that day I pulled several muscles in my leg and a few other things. I reminded myself once again why I hated to work on my birthday and decided once and for all that if I could avoid it I would. Now I told you my police story to tell you this one.
This morning as my mom, Mini and I were on our way to breakfast I was driving in a construction zone. As I got right up beside a large truck I noticed a sheriffs car behind me. I noticed that he had been following me for a bit now, then went to exit. When I exited off the highway I saw that he was exiting too. I made sure that my speed was right, I even used my signals to move lanes. I thought all was well and this man was going to go right past me. But then his lights began to flash. After pulling into a parking lot and beginning to sweat a little, he then informed me that the reason he stopped me was because I had a taillight out. (Phew) Mom mentioned that it was my birthday and the officer replied with "Well let me run this and I'll be back." After deciding that I wasn't a wanted criminal he told me happy birthday and sent me on my way. So it's safe to say that I started my 30's the same I started my 20's except with out the ticket. Hopefully my 30's will treat me better. Good night peeps

Birthday Week Day Two
Good evening to all my faithful readers. And welcome to my all week celebration of my 30th birthday and with that being said I can tell you that so far it's been Hell. Yesterday we kicked it off pretty good up until my air decided to go out. Since it went out late yesterday afternoon it was pretty much told us that we would be with out air. I called one company and sure they could come out but then they called to inform me that they would not be able to make it out so it was up to Roo to find someone to come out. Once the guy comes out he make a repair only to discover that what should have been fixed still wasn't. We still have no air. But don't think we stayed there, we took the Mini and the puppies and went to stay with the 'rents. Ahh, cool air. So now we are working on getting that fixed. Not the way to start out this week.
What's great about that is that Mini thinks that both of those cartoon figures are new. When she saw this picture she couldn't believe that those two characters where around when I was little. I was about five I think. I can't remember and I can't make out the candles.
Then years later that cute little girl grew into a young woman. And though I didn't realize it I was just entering my years of awesomeness. For the next 30 years.. I will try to better as a person. I will strive to continue to be the person my parents raised me to be and to make my family proud. Ok well next to the next portion of the our game. What things if do I wish I change. that will be tomorrows entry.
And now on to the fun.
On June 28, 1982 the cutest little baby graced the world with her presences.
A few years later that sweet little girl celebrated her summer birthday with Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Poney.

Gearing up for 30 years of Awesome
Hello boys and girls. I hope your week has been well. Mine has been pretty good. It started with Mini going off to the in-laws for a week of fun. She had a great time out in the woods playing and walking and of course running her grandmother ragged. (hee, hee) then she finished it off with a fun trip to the zoo, below is her favorite zoo hat they got her. Though I am glad she had a good time I was happy to have her home again. I always miss my little Mini when she is away...Of course I'm always thankful for the bit of peace I get
Ok so if you read the title of this blog and you follow me on facebook you may already know that my birthday is coming up. I see my birthday as a holiday and have always believed it should be celebrated as such. But this year I am joining Club 30. (or as some would call it the Dirty 30s) Surprisingly I am good with it and as such I will be celebrating 30 years of awesomeness. My next blog will give a run down and some fun pics of me over the span of my 30 years on this earth. Yes, I know I have issues but then again I must point you to the right --------->
When you opened my blog you basically signed the waiver that said I was going to torture you, no I mean entertain you with my the aspects of my life and this birthday happens to be a big chunk of my life. So sit back get ready and lets have some fun. (rolling my eyes and muttering) oh and if there is something you want to know or have me address in my trip through the years then please comment or message me and I will do my best to answering any questions no matter how embarrassing. But 10-1 I'll address your question with out even hearing or reading it. Ok now its time for some church fun. Later Days peeps. And I look forward to traveling down memory lane as I count down to the big 3-0.

Happy Fathers Day
Hello to all my faithful readers, I hope that you are enjoying this Fathers Day Sunday. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there and with that being said here is this weekends question. What is Father? Well quite honestly any man can be a father but it takes a special type a man to be a dad. For a daughter, a dad plays a major role in their lives. For those that are fortunate enough to have a dad in their lives this is the man who you will judge all other men in your life to. For me personally my Dad is just such a man. He is a jack of all trades kind of man. My dad has always been there for me, he has encouraged me and held me in times of sadness. He has been there to laugh with me and at me in times of joy. I am one of the many "Daddy's Girls" out there. In my eyes he can do no wrong (well most of the time) My dad is my hero and this is one day out of the year that I am able to show that. So to my daddy, I love you!!!
Roo is also such a dad. His little girl looks up to him. Mini shows everyday just how much she relies on her dad. Though as a mom I feel a little left out at times it is a bond that I am glad that they share. My mom is my best friend folks and I am not ashamed to say this. She stands by me no matter what type of crazy I am involved in. I can only hope that Mini will feel the same about me one day. Roo is her dad, her hero, her knight in shining armor (how weird is that?) like my own dad I know that Roo will be there for in all her many emotions. It means the world to a little girl when her dad is able to make her smile even through her tears and though there are times that it may not be wanted it will always be appreciated. To many kids today are left with out parents and to many are not lucky enough to have parents that love them. I feel for these kids. Family is very important and a fathers love is just as important. So dads show your children love. (wow as I read this I know it shows as ramblings) Ok well that is all today

Summer Start Up Catch Up
Hello to all my faithful readers. I want to say I am sorry for not writing in a while. Its been a little busy around Casa Me. Why? Well I'll tell you. 1st of all we were gearing up for the end of year at Mini's school. Roo and I enjoyed working field day, Though Mini may not be the fastest, I was still proud that she competed and that she enjoyed herself. Roo worked the bounce houses while I worked some of the races and I had a really good time but I always have a good time at Mini's school. Then it was time for the end of the year and to say goodbye to the first grade. Mini received the "LifeSafer" for being a good friend and helper, A&B Honor Role for final six weeks. For the entire year she only had three B's and the rest A's. The first two B's were made during the first semester and the third B was during this last 6 weeks. Even through everything that has happened since February she still managed to finish with a A average for the combined grades and is reading at a 5 grade level. (I am one proud momma) She is excited about going to Second grade next year and we were even able to put the bully thing to rest. We are blessed with an awesome support system within the school.

So to the left we have a picture of my older brother, Booboo. I'm sure I've said before but I'll explain a bit. We are like most siblings, we have a good times and bad. But I would like to think that in this particular stage of our life we are friends. We both can and have told some pretty embarrassing stories about each other but he is still someone that I have always counted on. Last year when Roo was gone for work I got the opportunity to Canton he asked if I missed Roo then pointed out that it was ok for me to be a girl every so often. (I roll my eyes here mainly because I am a girl about a lot of things. But sometimes the mushy stuff is hard for me to do) I have always looked up to him and for awhile there\] I wasn't liking him to much. We call that time the dark period cause well things weren't good. He forgot how to smile and to live life and I forgot how to be a sister and just became annoying. I know this and hopefully I'm getting better. Any way I digress... See Boo went through a bad time (not going into that not my story to tell) but then Boo met this really great girl. This girl really brought light back into his dark world and he began to smile again and began to become the brother I remember growing up with. (dripping with sarcasm). He brought her to our family and we have come to love her. Through the most difficult time in our life she stood by us. She stayed at the hospital when she didn't have to and stood by us in our grief and share in it with us. (wow I'm tearing up here. ugh) She introduced Mini to the world of zebra print and has shown me some very creative things by just being her. Thankfully, Boo decided to make her a permanent part of our family so now we are looking forward to a wedding at the end of this month.
So to left is our blushing bride to be at one of her showers. We got to do some fun painting. I have never done anything like that and it was really fun. Of course my cousin and I decided we wanted to throw her a shower for the family and we had a great time doing that as well. Now even though she has a thing for zebra her wedding theme is kind of a country chic thing her colors are turquoise and leopard print. (I think I misspelled that. grrr) And I really wanted to go with that for the theme. That week I learned there was a little glitch on my end. I had ordered cookies for the big day two of them were in the shape of a T & H (she like monogram things) and one was going to be done in the color while the other was done in the print with smaller heart cookies. When I called the bakery about picking them up the Friday it turned out that I had ordered them for the following Friday (crap) luckly Roo came to the rescue and did some quick thinking. and below was the result. Thank you to the Bakery at Walmart for helping me fix our glitch.
Hmm, I've talked about the end of school and how well Mini did, I've talked about my big bro and his wonderful bride to be. I've shared about the new puppies Hershey and Jasmine and the wonderful job a cookie cake turned out so whats left on my whole let's catch up? Oh right. *snapping fingers*
OK, so during this end of the year madness we adopted some puppies. The M-I-L leaves down at the lake and there were some neighbors that lived behind them that upped and left, leaving behind their dog. Well their dog apparently was pregnant and she gave birth to 7 puppies. The mommy dog, we believe, was run over at some point leaving her puppies alone. Now I am one of those people who believe there is a special Hell for those who hurt animals and children and I cant stand the idea of these puppies not having being given a chance. So we brought them home. Now I'm not going to lie to you and play the ultimate humanitarian and say we kept all seven puppies. We already have Abby and I don't have that kind of room or money. But we had already decided to keep one so that Abby had a friend to play with. Of course the one I orginally wanted got veto'd and Mini chose Jasmin who is white and brown. Roo (feeling a little outnumbered) got attached to a little chocolate puppy and since he would have been outnumbered (actually still is) I said we could keep him too. And he was graced with the name Hershey. Cause Roo couldn't pick out a name and I love milk chocolate things. In the picture below Jasimine (lft) and Hershey (rt) about 6weeks.

SUMMER!!!!!
I love this time of year mainly because it means we can sleep in for a bit but most importantly we are making some changes this year. See last summer Roo was in Cali and away from us for a bit. Though we had fun he missed him like crazy. Also last year around this time (Fathers Day) we believed we were going to be expanding our family and though we did expand it (not the way we thought but still.), I think we need to do some things different this year. So here is our summer plans. We are gonna chill. We are going to spend time as a family, we are going to go swimming Mini is going to go spend to some time with the in-laws. Roo and I are going to spend some much needed QT with each other. We are going to take the time for us. I'm going to take the time to enjoy the many parts of my family and the blessing that I have been given. Roo, Mini and I are going to discuss our future. We are going to encourage her and we are going to keep her entertained. I'm going to start over with me. I'm going to start letting things go and I am planning for my future. I'm taking my classes for my teaching certificate and I am looking forward to what comes next. Mini is going to have a blast with her new spy kit from Highlights where she can learn about the countries and their different things.I will continue to keep you updated hopefully a little more then the last little bit but you know sometimes life just keeps going around and I have to stand still in order to blog. Thanks for sticking with me through everything.
Oh yea, one last thing.
Mallard!!!!!
